CoD Black Ops - Graphical Help

Basically, I've been deciding between this game and MW2, and I've made up my mind, Blops is gonna be played.

After going to canirunit.com, I compared my comp's ability to play the games and this is the result:

MW2: Best score.

Black Ops: Fail, below minimum.

I've checked what's wrong with Black Ops, and apparently, everything besides my CPU is a-okay. Here are the results.

My question is, will I be able to play Black Ops on my resolution, being 1680x1050, or will I have to make it like Assassin's Creed II and make it 800x600?

Yes you will, although not at a fantastic framerate and probably with quite some fancy graphics options disabled.

Don't rely too much on can you run it sites, they are not 100% sure, I advice you to download some black ops demo (if there is one) to try if the game can run fine.

Correct, "Can I run it" isn't bad, but it's hardly reliable. I don't think there's a PC demo for Black Ops though.

There isn't. Although, steampowered would be smart to release a free weekend like they did twice for MW2..

on an unrelated note: I got connected to a hacked lobby in MW2 free weekend and instantly got the highest level, so mw2 would suck for me.

Note that Black Ops has shit optimisation and that the graphics also have low res textures and low poly models.

I thought every new CoD uses the same graphics-/game-engine what MW1 did, since everything seems the same.

Anyways, I'm really worried about this shit. Apparently, I won't be able to run Blops that well, even on low and on my res..I don't want to waste 60$ on a game I can't run because of my CPU. Any comforting facts to know?

Meh.... actually CoDs use Quake3 engine, little bit modified of course

1. Even if you would be able to run it well, it may start crashing and freezing.

2. You can be able Campaing and zombies, but check 1. what you get from MP.

3. Its not so good as you may think (maybe to first prestige)

If you say so. But whatever way you look at it, every sequel and prequel just has improved grafx and added/changed guns and some gameplay options. Storywise it's the same stuff all over again.(ofc not all games but most)
