mogadonskoda
(to put it in contrast: ZS' content folder is 218 MB)Is that compressed or uncompressed? Quote Link to comment
Clavus
Uncompressed. But the majority (read: all) ZS content isn't compressed on the downloadserver so it's pretty much the same. Usually we only compress maps and such. Quote Link to comment
Griffon
M29 is the huge as revolver of kermites right?I love that thing, any chance in you putting a scope on it? xD Quote Link to comment
Clavus
Instead of finalizing the shop menu and loadout system like I should, I keep getting distracted by other tasks (which will still benefit the gamemode).Updated my Particle Effect Tester tool on Toybox for example:http://toybox.garrysmod.com/ingame/?view=1050&tab=details Quote Link to comment
EmRA
where has this tool been all my life Quote Link to comment
Clavus
The new shop interface. Thoughts? Quote Link to comment
VMR
Looks cool. When will it be used? Will you have shops in certain maps where you buy gear and go back to the war, or is it at spawn? Quote Link to comment
Clavus
You can open the shop at any time (although it's recommended not to do it in the middle of a fight ). It depends on your loadout with what you spawn.Buying a weapon will be permanent. I'm still trying to think out if I want certain stuff to have limited uses and such (like special abilities), which you can stock up on. Quote Link to comment
Botervloot
Needs filterable categories of the guns themselves somewhere.Filters on things like price, power, experience and class. Descriptions will probably be more detailed. It would be neat if you'd get a 3D spin-around of the weapon when you click for more details. Edited September 9, 2011 by Botervloot Quote Link to comment
Griffon
From my experience putting a scroll bar in a in-game menu is a bad idea, other than that the shop looks nice.If your looking for limited uses how about stuff like grenades, extra armour, night vision,a usable medpack or revive kit, adrenaline(increase speed/reduce damage taken), increased mag, increased max amo and stuff like that. Descriptions will probably be more detailed. It would be neat if you'd get a 3D spin-around of the weapon when you click for more details. It has separate categories which can be expanded (weapons / upgrades / abilities / suits / extra), and every item there under is sorted in subcategories and by cost. Filters and 3D projections would be unnecessary, you're not spending that much time in the shop on average. From my experience putting a scroll bar in a in-game menu is a bad idea, other than that the shop looks nice.If your looking for limited uses how about stuff like grenades, extra armour, night vision,a usable medpack or revive kit, adrenaline(increase speed/reduce damage taken), increased mag, increased max amo and stuff like that.I was mainly thinking about limited uses for abilities. The other key options in your loadout will be primary, secondary weapons, a utility item (usually grenades / traps) and a suit (which gives a passive boost of some kind). Quote Link to comment
Clavus
Finished the loadout menu. Still a lot of empty space but I'll leave finetuning the design until after Garry's next update which is supposedly going to break everything anyway. Quote Link to comment
Griffon
As the scroll bar is more or less already at the end why not make the weapon icons a tad smaller in the menu and then have them all fit onto one screen?Thats would decrease wasted space and remove the eed for a scroll bar (unless you plan on adding more primaries ) Quote Link to comment
Clavus
There's a metric fuckton of items (about 50 weapons alone, I didn't have them all in that loadout screen). A scrollbar is pretty much a necessity. Quote Link to comment
BouweV
Get a bigger monitor if you don't want scrollbars, Griffon Quote Link to comment
Griffon
ohh well, if theres THAT much theres not much you can do about it >_>, looks like i will have to get a 30" monitor to have no scrollbars . Quote Link to comment
Tennisballesser
Soooooo many weapons Looking ward to it Quote Link to comment
Botervloot
Will there be a closed (internal) beta for it? Quote Link to comment
Clavus
Will there be a closed (internal) beta for it?Nope, gonna blow it wide open once I get a final few features done. And then hope for the best.Added loadout saving btw, so you can quickly load different configurations you made in the past. Quote Link to comment

Griffon
+1 Rep cuz not only did you make a new gamemode, you made it in like what; 3-4 weeks? Quote Link to comment
Clavus
The project up till now might've claimed around 50 actually productive hours I think (and a lot more hours of procrastination). Quote Link to comment
