I don't think this is in any way SOPA related. The FBI doesn't do these kind of investigations in the span of a week. It's just coincidence.

Sucks about MU but if they were really laundering money it's probably for the best. The site might come back again later. Probably with new management.

I didn't see any sign of that in the article I read, it just said that they made like 500 million in 2011. Which makes sense, because in the same article it said that it is was the 13th biggest site on the internet

It is indeed about copyright infringement. It is said that they made tons of money on pirated files by giving the ability to purchase premium accounts which increased download speeds and ladidadida.
