We're aware of this, and currently waiting to see what happens next. Most, if not all, of the bukkit staff resigned yesterday, so a * real * bukkit 1.8 won't be released anytime soon. Dinnerbone from Mojang said he's going to update it, but I'm not sure if that will hold due to the current DCMA mess. There's no real replacement for bukkit, so we may see some major changes in upcoming months. I will open a vanilla 1.8 server (plain), for anyone's that interested, later this week. This is * NOT * the planned map reset, and will be accessible via a separate IP.

Jiles, I have block logs that you griefed multiple bases, including mine. Lying won't help your case here. Thank you for apologizing anyways. The bane that is mcore (required to run factions 2.0) breaks with every minecraft update, even though it shouldn't. When I updated to 1.7.10 (literally nothing changed in terms of base MC code) the thing breaks, so all land was 'unclaimed'. We're getting rid of it next map, in favor of the old 1.6 branch, so shouldn't be an issue anymore.

YOU were responsible for most of the grief incidents (block logs), causing many factions to lose their hard earned enchants/bases. As a chat mod, I would expect you to follow rule #2, to * NOT * exploit the fact factions broke, and be much more mature than the usual player. Your actions were immensely uncalled for, I honestly feel like banning your account because you betrayed the trust I gave you as chatmod. I'm not banning other players who griefed, though, so you won't be banned. I will consider re-promoting you in a couple weeks depending on your in-game behavior.

Implementing these new rules next map: - All players must respect EVERYONE. Competitive or light remarks (such as "your faction sucks, you suck at PvP, you're an idiot etc") are allowed, but nothing that directly attacks another person in a cruel way. Swearing is allowed as long as it's not excessive and spammy. Breaking this rule will warrant a mute, by a chatmod or admin. Repeated incidents will potentially warrant a ban. - Faction names cannot contain any inappropriate names. This includes (but isn't limited to) anything that alludes to pornographic content, racism or hate. - No "buffer" factions. As offline explosions are disabled, making a "wall" faction around yours is illegal. The wall faction will be disbanded, all alts banned, and the owner of the alts given a temporary ban. This is unfair to general gameplay mechanics. On another note, the new factions plugin will allow us to time offline explosions. When you log off, your faction will have a 15 minute timer where others can blow stuff up in the territory. TnT cannons will remain nerfed somewhat (they'll be destroyed when you fire TnT). Creepers will be the main source of base raiding - they'll also have a doubled spawn rate. Also, I'll never get why "Kanker" (Cancer) is so bad in Dutch. Someone enlighten me

We have players as young as 8, do you think they need to see that? Use your head. Yet every time I suggested a 'no profanity' rule it was just ignored. We'd get more players(And ones which are typically more pleasant) if we integrate that. Could you expand on this? My definition of profanity includes all swearing. Swearing, if used in moderation, is okay. I'll try to find a decent world spawn, the last couple haven't had any deserts.

We're only going to test the spawn command. If it doesn't work out, we'll remove it. Yes, /f owner will return. Factions 2.x is flawed in so many ways, 1.6 is better.

Skyblock is indeed popular, if you add several correct things. Yes, there'll be a week or two before survival goes public so people can protect their land. Skyblock seems popular nowadays. I'll look into it for sure. If you're an admin on either the PvP/Faction server, you'll be admin on both. Creative/survival will continue to be run by me/RedGander. As for chatmods, we'll see about that.
