I agree with Clavus. If it's the Intel Core i7-2760QM then it is a great CPU, and it won't bottleneck this game. Your 20% CPU usage confirms this. Opti-fine makes Noraml rendering bearable at 20-30 FPS but its really laggy, jumping from 9 all the way to 40 FPS sometimes (unstable).

Although nothing in comparison to moderating a server, I have been the leader of the faction "Equalists" for about 6 maps. We're one of the more powerful factions and most highly organized. So the CPU is the problem? I have 2.4ghz on the thing. Is that good enough to run mine craft? I just spent $800 on this machine so I'm not looking to build my own PC although I would love to. I guess I'm going to be forced to install optifine :/... PS... when I run minecraft the CPU says it's only using 20% of it. So maybe its not the problem?

Today I had a fight on my personal server with a friend, no OP enchants or swords, Just plain health potions and a poison. We were forced to use actual strategy, not rely on our OP enchants for protection. I have to say it was one of the best fights I've done. Man is it satisfying to see your opponent go up in flames from a flint and steel. All in all, OP enchants are kind of dumb.

Right now, I have a "Radeon HD 6490M" Graphics card in my laptop. It's a laptop, and probably not the best card on the market, but it does have a gig of video memory which is decent. However when I play Minecraft (Don't get me started on those epic graphics) I can only play on the "Tiny" Rendering. It really sucks. I can play most Steam games like NTW or TF2 with decent fps on medium graphics, both of which have 10x better graphics than MC. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Something I can do to fix the fps issues I have? If I go even to short rendering my fps drops to about 20, normal to 10. I have an Intel i7 Processor, along with 8 gigs of Ram. I play MC with the lowest setting available. I try to avoid optifine because it conflicts with World Edit, My favorite mod ever for building stuff. Help? D:

Right, it was great! But new players who didn't understand it were put off by the idea and left. If this is implemented, make sure it is on the Server Message rotation and very clear at spawn. If enchants could be limited without restricting enchanting tables, this might just work. Again, this restriction will also reduce the need for factions to have a mob xp grinder, which will help new players to have a chance on server esp if they don't xray like most big factions... And yes, prot 4 sharp 5 fights are beyond annoying... not to say they break if not repaired after 2-3 fights as well :/ I agree wholeheartedly. If you don't have a double grinder nowadays, you're basically screwed. Limiting people to lower level enchants solves this. I also hate p3/p4/op fights. They take like 10 minutes usually ending with someone running when the run out of pots. Also a pain in the butt to repair full p4/ub3 after one big fight. Sharpness 5 swords, from myself using one, are completely over powered. I can 3 hit someone with regular diamond armor easy. Tl;Dr lower level enchants pl0x

I personally loved the enchanting tower map. People had to use legit tactics to win like flint and steeling or lava bucketting to win any fight. It was fun. You could do that again or simply disable the placing of bookshelves. Perhaps disable higher enchants altogether, as you use anvils t combine stuff.

I play on this other server with Red where you get like 4 diamonds/day for voting. Its purely vanilla, tbh, and I haven't seen any inbalances in play. May I mention that server consistently has 100+ people on it, From voting.

Personally, I think everything's in place for the server to recover. Clavus' Ender pearl plugin is ingenious, and certainly has added more fights to the game. It was, however, added a bit late into the map. I'm sure once the map restarts we'll have a strong player base again. We even have an active admin, which is great. All in all, its only a matter of time.

The prequel trilogy was the bomb. I don't know why everyone hates on it. I'll admit the screenplay is crap sometimes, but the battle scenes are epic.
