    Update as of today (27/10/20) :
    - Options menu is finished and functionnal
    - Added some post-processing options (film grain, motion blur, color mod) that you can enable/disable in options menu
    - First person death camera added when you die
    - Player Data saving is implemented (your kills, redeems, propkills etc are saved )
    - Zombie animations are fixed (thanks @WarlikeCracker btw)
    - Headcrab animations fixing are in progress
    - Chem zombie is done, but the animations need a fix too
     
    The next things I'll have to finish in order to have a functionnal game are :
    - Animations
    - Score screen with real data (coming soon)
    - Remaining zombie classes and fixing their animations (which is the hardest part, thanks to the unclear documentation on the Gmod Wiki )
     
    I also had a small "demo" with Warlike and Psychopeti. The main issues that have arised from this are weapon animations which are laggy, zombie animations and some props that don't play effects when they are broken.
    I'll try to make a video to show some of the progress soon !

    Hi All,
    I stumbled upon this community after feeling nostalgic and googling for any references of my maps. I was surprised to find that from the number of maps I've released and/or posted about, zs_pub has seemingly the largest online footprint. What was most surprising to me was reading a recently posted deviation claiming that my map was 'a classic' in ZS circles and that it was created by an unknown author. Whomever posted the deviation was correct that I released the map under the name 'Lamar', as I had a handle with that name at Facepunch. I have since posted on mapping communities under a few different handles. 
    I can't recall exactly when I released this map, but I believe it was in 2006 when I was 15 or 16 at the time. Zs_pub was actually my first released map and I spent about three weeks developing it. At the time ZS players did not have the option of setting up barricades and had to rely on pushing props on their own to setup barricades, most rounds of ZS saw the human team get wiped out. I disliked how players would camp in single-entranced rooms in most maps and/or would run outside only to get inevitably killed, so I set out to create a small map that would force human players to work as a team and bunker down in a building with a number of entrances/weak points for the zeds to take advantage of. The map's design was influenced by 'Shaun of The Dead' and 'House of The Dead 2'.
    Upon the map's release I only played the map several times before never playing ZS again and moving on with other mapping projects, namely contributing as a level designer for Goldeneye: Source until 2011 with the intention of building up a portfolio to become a professional level designer - zs_pub was never included in my listed works as it looked amateur. I work as a security engineer these days and I haven't mapped in four years, my last work was unreleased and meant to be a TTT map --- a glimpse of it can be seen below 😄
    Since I never stuck around or even realized that this map apparently was played for years after its initial release, I am very curious to hear feedback on it and how long it stuck around for.

    Hi guys. I have been in this community since 2012 and active since 2014. I did a lot and did my best for this community. Not everyone was happy with my decisions, but I definitely did what I thought is best by that moment. 
    I have been admin, map manager, server manager since 2015 till 2018. I took my ownership then in 2019 and it is Oct 2020. Almost 2 years doing my best and trying to host events and planning new servers and projects for the community.
    These projects are still in progress and I will be reviewing them and manage them. @AfuSensi will be taking over with the community and manages everything and have the final decision in everything. 
    Thanks to everyone who supported me in the last 2 years. It really means a lot to me and I very much appreciate the help everyone of you did. Whether it was financial support or spiritual. You all are part of who I am today.

    Looks cool, I did always prefer the small maps with an arcade feeling instead of the large maps.
    Guns for Kills was always a good system but you may need to make it obvious on the game load screen otherwise new players will just ask where the crate is all the time.

    You may know it, but Lejorah and Lucker are working on a new version of ZS which is a continuity of the 2012 Mr Green ZS.
    On my side, I've been working on another project too !
    Thanks to Deluvas (RIP mate), I had access to the 2010 version of ZS. From there, I have been working on a complete re-coding of a 2008-2009-styled Zombie Survival :

    This is a work-in-progress project, so it isn't finished as of today (18/09/20), but you can find below some information and a first small gameplay footage (don't mind the AI players, they're dumb ).

    What makes ZS:RE different from the current Zombie Survival forks ?
    For a long time, ZS has turned from a timer-based game to a wave-based one.
    Also, cading has taken a proeminent role. Players basically had to make the best barricade possible and survive 6 waves of enemies. They had to buy guns through a shop or crates. Zombie classes were unlocked at each wave.
    I'm not saying that this is a bad mod or anything, but I have always dreamed of replaying the ZS we had around 2008-2009. The one that felt easier, had a faster pace and felt like an arcade game.
    A game of Redeemed Edition runs like the ones you could play around 2008-2009 : You spawn as a human, you have to survive for 20 mins and you get new guns by killing zombies.
    Someone is chosen to be a zombie and from there starts the game
    Barricading still exists, but it's a minor aspect. You're encouraged to run and gun when possible
    Zombie classes are unlocked through infliction. That means that if a % of players has been killed at some time, new classes are available for use.
    How many zombie classes are there ?
    There are 8 classes that you can play : Zombie, Headcrab, Fast Headcrab, Wraith, Fast Zombie, Poison Headcrab, Poison Zombie, Chem Zombie.
    I don't plan to add new classes in the near future, but maybe variations of existing classes.
    How do I get new weapons ?
    As a human, you get new weapons by killing zombies. Just like the good old time
    You start with a pistol (USP-45 / P-228) and a melee weapon (knife/crowbar).
    Each X kills you are a granted a new weapon, which is more powerful than the previous one you had.
    You keep all the weapons you have, and you can also pick up the ones left by your dead teammates.
    How does redeeming works ?
    As a zombie, after killing 8 humans (or 6 with the Fast Redeem upgrade) you can either redeem automatically or by pressing F2. You can choose if you want to enable the auto-redeem in the options.
    Will there be things to unlock ?
    For now, this isn't implemented but I'm planning to add in-game achievements to unlock (original ones that were here 10 years ago + new ones).
    I'd also like to add titles tied to these achievements and maybe nameplates or player icons that you can get in a similar fashion.
    Ultimately, I'd also like to add unlockable skins for zombies but this is just an idea at the moment, nothing has been decided yet.
    Will there be a Green Shop ?
    Yes. You will be able to buy hats, upgrades, and - given that I have implemented them - namesplates/player icons.
    Can I propkill humans ? 😆
    Yes, you can throw tires / plastic cans / whatever at humans and get some easy brains
    When will ZS : RE be available ?
    I can't give you a release date yet, because there are still some stuff to do. For now the game is playable-ish but is missing some key features, a backend, and needs some fixes regarding animations.
    I'm hoping to release an alpha/demo at the end of october, but this isn't a guaranteed date. I can't work at full-time on this due to IRL work.

    Hello guys, so this is our financial report for the first 6 months of 2020. Thanks to everyone who contributed with every cent of their own. It really matters a lot to me and shows me that we still have players who don't wanna see this community dying. Most of the work with the community have been done thanks to @AfuSensi, but lets not forget our other developers who also helped us out and still helping us (@LuCkEr- @Mihoje @Haxardous). Also our server managers who are contributing a lot as well (@GoldBerg and @Lejorah).
    Hopefully the other half of 2020 will be better financially. Enjoy your summer vacation everyone!

    Hey guys, I know it have been years since we had our Zombie Survival server in Gmod, but guess what. Thanks to @Lejorah and @LuCkEr-. We are able to work on it again and re-host our server. We are willing to release the server this summer!
     
    This is a teaser video! Have a look into it and wait for us. We will do our best to ensure that our server will be back and better than before. Thanks to everyone who is supporting us and will be coming when we release the server.

    Well I am doing an bachelors degree in nursing and health education, that is interesting, while doing gigs in hospitals, health care centers seeing and helping many patients with different backgrounds, problems. I am in a relationship and also I enjoy doing powerlifting and trying to lift more and more weight. So I have on going education, work, relationship and a serious hobby that I have been doing nine years, so I dont have that much time for games. At the moment im trying to finish my thesis.

    @Jeremiah I actually wanted to bring the server back and I tried to contact some of the old developers, sadly no one wants anymore. However, We have plans to launch a server for S&Box. Which the game will be released later on. But no promises at all. I wish myself Gmod would come back but I need the developers for it, which sadly I don't.
    S&box, or Garry’s Mod 2 (GMOD 2), is a new Sandbox game developed by Facepunch Studios, the same people who created Garry’s Mod and Rust.

    I'm shocked, he was one of the few players that got me playing ZS a lot and I had great times playtesting the new version of ZS with him and necrossin. The fact that he was so young, makes it even more shocking. RIP Deluvas, the one who made the best ZS version that existed.

    Hi guys!
    After over 12 years it's time for me to step down from the Mr. Green community I've founded. The past couple of years I was unable to give the community what it needed. Mostly because MTA doesn't really have my interest anymore.
    I've enjoyed running the servers. I made friends in this community. It was a great run.
    @Cena will be taking over my spot and will run the community starting the new year. I've come to known him as someone that really cares about the community and MTA servers. While not everyone may applaud this, I do have faith in him.
