  1. Well I never ban people unless I'm absolutely sure they're hacking. If this was a mistake, I apologize but I find it hard to believe because if I see someone hacking I go to /spec and keep an eye on them, unless it's really obvious (like flying off at the start).

I also do not keep all the names and cases stored in my head so I have no clue who you are.

DoiKile, thank you a lot for an informative post. This is what Mihaitza should've written in the first place. Although I do not remember such a case. If I banned him at the start of the race then I must've seen something really wrong with it.

It's hard to keep proof here. That means I should have to actually film speedhackers which means having FRAPS on and wasting room on my HDD + probably making me lag anyway which would follow "YOU DIDNT HAVE FULL FPS OMGOMGOMG HE COULD BE FASTER YOU KNOW!?!?!?!" I have nothing else to say. If you didn't hack - my bad; if you did - serves you right.

I am not going to unban you. I'll let someone else (who is objective) decide over such important matters.

  2. Finish a race on fire.

    Get muted by an admin.

Get 2 top times in a row.

Be on the server while a map gets played 4 times in a row.

Drive 2000 miles with a car.

    Reach 5000 greencoins.

I'll edit later if anything else pops up.

  3. And kinda stypid idea to try drugs anyway, wasting money, u should use that money to buy beer.

One of the dumbest lines I've ever seen.

First of all, nothing is "wasting" money. But if considered so, beer is definitely not a good place to stash your money in because it's worse than light drugs like shrooms and marijuana. It is cheaper but the damage is deeper.

On topic though - suicides are plain stupid just because we only have ~80 years to live plus not a single day is promised. Life's valuable and letting that go shows how much of a moron you are. So if it is your friend or family I insulted here, I'm not going to apologize. If they were having issues, that's alright.. but suiciding reflects your stupidity.

  4. It isn't random death notes. It's good to know if the player in front of you or behind you dies, in case you're trying to win against them.

In a game like GTA this information is irrelevant and pointless. Only adds more distraction to the gameplay. No help whatsoever at all.

  5. "Well made and stuff" ?

It's annoying and distracting. Which really should not be the case, considering that this is a racing server which needs extra attention on everything else but the text.

Plus it's retarded. So many reasons have been mentioned before. No timer, random death notes and position changes.. pointless

  6. I'm off 'til the 3rd of July. A full week of hard work from noon to the evening. Estonian folk dancing and singing festival is coming up. 4 days of training and 3 days of demonstrations. DANCE DANCE DANCE!

  7. Here's my opinion on this new system:

The part where it gives you information about ghostmode is fine. Much better then when it was plain text on the left and nobody would barely notice.

However what I don't like is the position info and the death info. If I gain or lose a position, I don't really want it to pop up on my window and distract me. I can see my position on the lower right and I constantly check it. I see no reason why this should be duplicated to a flashing text in the middle of the screen.

Also I could not give a buck about people dying in front of me or behind me. How is this supposed to help me?

"Somebody died behind you!" Alright well someone else will probably take his position..

"Somebody died in front of you!" Alright cool, maybe I'll get past his ruins and gain a place.. or maybe I won't make it..

As demonstrated, I find no help in them. They are rather distracting than helpful.

The one thing I also loved was the countdown timer at the top. It told me exactly how much time is left and it was fun to compete against the last remaining seconds. Now however I only get announced 45, 20 and 10. So I have to do a manual countdown in my brain which is rather annoying.

Hope this is enough of constructive criticism.

  8. I would also like to see rank-based or somewhat a similiar system type of a dimension script. And the GhostMode when hopping dimensions really should be fixed. Currently it is timed but I talked with BinSlayer who said it's possible to make it coordinated like the regular GM. Hope everything gets sorted out.

    Good job nevertheless!

  9. The cause is nearly always the gta.set file. If you dont have one the game creates one and stores it here.

    C:\Users\KingRuff\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files

It is used to store all of your config files.

    Glad you fixed it though!

I know what and where the gta.set is. The thing is that unless you can get to the menu part, the game doesn't create one.

Anyway when I restarted my PC, I tried deleting the file and the d3d9.dll which didn't help a damn thing. I then reinstalled GTA and everything worked again.

Guess I'm gonna have to keep reinstalling every time I want to restart my computer.

  10. I like the fact that having dimensions allows us to actually reach the limit of 128 players but as somebody mentioned, it hasn't even hit 60+ and I honestly can't see it reaching the limit. For ex. there's a roleplaying server, also using the 128-limit, but they rarely reach it on their busiest Saturday night.

What I don't like however is the fact that I can't race with the people I want to. Somebody mentioned something about the 10th CP (I'm not quite familiar with the system, got introduced to it yesterday) but some maps last < 10..

  11. I am running Windows 7 64-bit and San Andreas won't launch.

I've read that it might not be compatible (I tried to change the comp. mode) yet some people get it to work.

    Any help?

  12. Hmm well I never really tought that much outside the box.. A mushroom farm sounds fun but those take AGES to grow plus you can only grow them underground which means it will be swarmed with monsters.

Anyway, trying to slowly end this argument with me losing (sort of). What I'd like to see in the future is even more blocks (especially colors) to imitate different games and such. And more weapons + armor to have some more stuff worth hunting for.

  13. Are you saying that in a sandbox game where your building area is thousands of feet wide and tall only thing you can build is a home?

There aren't a lot of objects (still comparing to GMod). So the options are quite limited.

What would you build besides a home (or a genital in the sky)?

  14. 1. Do you play Minecraft/similar sandbox game? If not then fair enough.

Yes. I find Terraria a lot better than Minecraft though. But nothing beats GMod.

My point is.. there are not that many options for expanding. For example in GMod you can build a huge robot and showcase it to a lot of communities. In Terraria the only thing you could possibly showcase is your home. Plus after you finish it there's not much you can do there - except for hiding from zombies. With a robot however, one could play around for hours.

I'm not trying to say Terraria sucks. I love Terraria. I love the 2D, I love the versatile weapon/block/armor system. I love the whole concept. I just find the game too short and not really that endless, considering it a sandbox game.
