It's very important we build a base somewhere where other players don't accidentally wander into it. And as you said yourself, Green Mountain is host to several looting locations thus far too high risk. My suggestion would be somewhere along the northern or western map border, or in the Black Forest (east of Novy Sobor) if we want to be a bit more central. There are few deer stands there so it shouldn't have a lot of wanderers.

Downgrading bugged out my character and all the EU servers seem to be pretty shitty. Guess I'll take some time off the game this weekend, more updates should arrive soon I guess.

You find them. Apparently they can pop up all over the place, not just military locations. My guess is that their droprate is similar to backpacks.

This evening was rather uneventful. For some reason I respawned at the bottom left of the map in the middle of the woods (nowhere near the airfield where I logged out). I met up with MrZunz (he happened to be near Pavlovo) and we went to do some scavenging. I had no more ammo for my M4 (magazine mysteriously emptied) and my M9 was also emptied after a reconnect, so it was rather fortunate that we didn't encounter any others.

K this shit's pretty much done now.

There are plenty of rumours. DayZ's developer is actually a designer working on Arma 3, and I bet his superiors won't ignore the success his mod has. They could release it as DLC / addon next to the main game. It could become Arma 3's official zombie mode. It'd be relatively easy for them too since since they can re-use a lot of content and mechanics from the main game, all the while making something completely different but just as profitable.

First I was like 'wait what' but yeah it seems they already made a limited release: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9196 Well first off we can't say the exact position in this topic, since it's public. Secondly, we'll have to pick a server as our 'main base', since tents and vehicles are persistent on a single server. FR2 is looking pretty good in that respect. Thirdly, the position has to be easy to find for us, but hard to find for random players.

The more people the more awesome our raids will be. Also the more likely we'll break our friendly fire-less streak one day Still planning on establishing a base somewhere. Just some tents pitched in the wilderness to store our shit and bring any vehicles we can find. I've got a possible idea of where the Russians have their base in FR2, still need to check that out. The choppers should be somewhere on the map, we just need to find them and steal them. Sounds easy right?
