  1. Not really anime but I took a detour the past few weeks and watched the first seasons of a French animated series called Wakfu. Lots of parallels with anime (fantasy setting / explosive action scenes), but it's ABUNDANTLY animated. I recommend it to you guys.

  2. Seems people are finally using the Ender Pearls to their full extent which, in case of our server, also means they can use it to easily grab the restocking loot from the Pirate Fortress I build by placing marks near the chests. I'll code in Factions support so I can set restrictions for marks placed in different Factions territories.

    Edit: aaaaand implemented.

  3. So that's where you went. That's one big skiing holiday.

Not a holiday, mostly working, I run my universitys ski/snowboard society. Taking 400 people away on holiday is one huge ball ache

Now I want to know the casualty count of 400 people spread over a few months of skiing :V
  4. I usually judge game devs not just by their games, but also how they handle the community. My top big studios would be Valve, CD Projekt (The Witcher series, GoG), Double Fine (Psychonauts), Bohemia Interactive (ARMA, DayZ), and DICE (Battlefield). On the indie front I guess I like Mojang, Vlambeer (Dutch power!), Facepunch ( :V) and Arrowhead (Magicka).

I don't feel like elaborating so just go play their games.

  5. Is there any way to configure it so single man factions have a faster power decay than 3+ man factions? If not it may be worth requesting it on their GitHub, seems it would be useful for a lot of servers.

I think I'll try this, since it seems Factions does pass some events around: as a solo player you won't be able to claim more than 1 chunk, enough for a mudhut. For 2 players, it's 4 chunks. From 3 players and up, it's to full extend of your faction power.

Ok so I went ahead and implemented this within an hour ^

It's already running on the server. Factions' minimum member limit has been lifted, you can now claim 1 chunk as solo player, and 4 chunks with 2 players. With more players it acts like normal.

  7. Why not record / make screenshots of the guy and get him banned instead. Then he'll never touch your base again.

Also I still have to counteract spamming doors (since you can use the lag to place an Ender Pearl mark behind a door). Just wait till I provide solutions.

  8. I'll allow one man factions again soon, but I'll also try to counter-act claim littering in some way. Probably by making the inactivity limit even shorter, so people get kicked out of the Factions data if they've been offline for over a week.

  9. You act as though everyone provided miracle solutions that I'm wilfully ignoring. Fact is that most ideas are either bad or already proven to be ineffective in the past, I've been running this Minecraft server since the first SMP version, and I've already experimented with a lot of ideas. Things will change, just be patient.

  10. Wow this actually seems like a good plugin. However Clavus, to not have a disaster like the furnace tower, limited brewing, and limited enchanting maps that lost 90% of the players, you should make some kind of announcement in game that all players will see.
It's hard to communicate these changes to all players, since there are people who ignore the motd, tips, forums and signs I placed at spawn.
