    Nice ! I think I'll make rotating mapcycles, with a list of oldschool maps and a list of newer/different maps as long as they're compatible

    I have done some maps for Zombiemod on counter strike source for another community that i could probably port over to Gmod when this is finished!

    Oh wow, I am really hyped about the progress so far! This really is smile-inducing for me, to see it all come together. Can't wait to test it in one way or another!

    As promised, a small video to show some features (including propkills because Psycho loves em ).
    It's still work in progress but it will pretty much look like that at the end
     
    As of today, 04/11/2020 :
    - Wraith is done and functional
    - Fast zombie is done (attack animation needs a little tweak but otherwise it's functional)
    - Chem zombie is done, except 3rd person animation which is glitchy
    - Score screen with real data is now finished
     
    TODO :
    - Poison Zombie
    - Poison Headcrab
    - Fix the headcrab animations (again )
    - Fix chem zombie animations
    - Fix some Weapon animations glitch
     
    Aaaaaaand after that we'll be good to have a public demo. Hopefully we can make it in around 2 weeks if everything goes well !
    I'll get some help for the animations because this is a big deal !

    Those two games are online zombie MMO/RPGs that I have played since a few years on and off, nothing I got incredibly hooked to for long, but that I enjoyed playing on and off over and over, do you guys know the games? And if so, what are your thoughts? I might get back to playing it sometime, especially since it somehow gives me ZS nostalgia (despite the gameplay not being any similar)

    Little something about your self and why you think you're fit to be admin: I feel like I am a person who likes to think outside the box much more often than not and who prefers to react based upon logic, especially in situations which really require it. I usually have more than enough time and I believe I have been in enough online communities to be well-versed in the the know-hows of online gaming and whatnot. I've been staff in servers before and I like to make sure that I can keep things in place whenever necessary, without abusing of the power given to me and try to use it only in the situations that require it in order to help out the community in which I am a staff member.  I also own a Garry's Mod - Zombie Survival server myself, which I've had to spend a considerable amount of time with and put a good amount of effort in.

    Hello everyone,

    I know a lot of you are interested in the return of Mr.Green. But since the release and promise of our teaser trailer, promising that we will release it by the end of summer, we had some time to re-think our goals and, our wishes for this community. I have decided to postpone the launch because we as a team don't think it's ready yet. We want to have a successful launch, we don't want to ruin your nostalgia or your expectations. Also I do not wish to put any pressure on our developers or overwork them, since they are human beings and they do have private lives. 

    This doesn't mean that something bad has happened. Everything is on track and is moving very smoothly, it's just that I gave the developers an unrealistic launch date. 

    I take full responsibility for my actions.

    What @LuCkEr-and @Chikennugget1 is doing, is something I should not take for granted. As of this, as written in the title, the launch is delayed, I don't know when we will have an official at the moment but we will try to specify it, we will still have public and private testing as planned.

    Hi All,
    I stumbled upon this community after feeling nostalgic and googling for any references of my maps. I was surprised to find that from the number of maps I've released and/or posted about, zs_pub has seemingly the largest online footprint. What was most surprising to me was reading a recently posted deviation claiming that my map was 'a classic' in ZS circles and that it was created by an unknown author. Whomever posted the deviation was correct that I released the map under the name 'Lamar', as I had a handle with that name at Facepunch. I have since posted on mapping communities under a few different handles. 
    I can't recall exactly when I released this map, but I believe it was in 2006 when I was 15 or 16 at the time. Zs_pub was actually my first released map and I spent about three weeks developing it. At the time ZS players did not have the option of setting up barricades and had to rely on pushing props on their own to setup barricades, most rounds of ZS saw the human team get wiped out. I disliked how players would camp in single-entranced rooms in most maps and/or would run outside only to get inevitably killed, so I set out to create a small map that would force human players to work as a team and bunker down in a building with a number of entrances/weak points for the zeds to take advantage of. The map's design was influenced by 'Shaun of The Dead' and 'House of The Dead 2'.
    Upon the map's release I only played the map several times before never playing ZS again and moving on with other mapping projects, namely contributing as a level designer for Goldeneye: Source until 2011 with the intention of building up a portfolio to become a professional level designer - zs_pub was never included in my listed works as it looked amateur. I work as a security engineer these days and I haven't mapped in four years, my last work was unreleased and meant to be a TTT map --- a glimpse of it can be seen below 😄
    Since I never stuck around or even realized that this map apparently was played for years after its initial release, I am very curious to hear feedback on it and how long it stuck around for.

    I have fond memories of this map, it was small but with enough entrances for the zombies to come in and attack humans (windows, breakable wall, breakable attic).
    I remember games where I stood with other players in the attic for a long time and we were struggling to survive, until we all died one by one, because when the attic is broken, there are fast zombies and crabs everywhere 
    I'm remaking an old school ZS mode and I use this map for testing 99% of the time because it's small, and nice for testing zombie stuff
     
    And yeah, this is definitely a classic ZS map, simple but able to deliver some nice survival moments

    It will continue to live as well, because it's included in the mapcycle that ZS classic edition will use, along with zs_bog_pubremake (the one mentionned in that deviantart post) which was made by a member of Mr Green, and zs_greenpub which is another pub-like map

    No matter its simplicity, zs_pub is a masterpiece to me, and I think many others out there feel the same way. It's perfect for anything that's like actual ZS Classic as well, so it definitely is great, thanks for coming here.

    Hi guys. I have been in this community since 2012 and active since 2014. I did a lot and did my best for this community. Not everyone was happy with my decisions, but I definitely did what I thought is best by that moment. 
    I have been admin, map manager, server manager since 2015 till 2018. I took my ownership then in 2019 and it is Oct 2020. Almost 2 years doing my best and trying to host events and planning new servers and projects for the community.
    These projects are still in progress and I will be reviewing them and manage them. @AfuSensi will be taking over with the community and manages everything and have the final decision in everything. 
    Thanks to everyone who supported me in the last 2 years. It really means a lot to me and I very much appreciate the help everyone of you did. Whether it was financial support or spiritual. You all are part of who I am today.

    Hey there.
    For now the bots I'm using (like the ones in the video) are just for testing purposes. I don't plan to add real bot players at the moment.
    They are very basic and dumb, and I don't want to spend too much time working on AI players for now.
    I know there were bots in earlier versions of ZS back in the time but on Mr Green ZS there weren't, and there won't be. At least not while the playerbase is active enough.
    For zombies in general, I'm still working on the classes. Right now only the normal Zombie and Headcrab are playable, but the rest will follow soon.
    I have fixed zombie's animations, I'm going to fix headcrab's as well and add the remaining classes after that.

    Thank you very much for answering my questions and sharing what's in mind for Classic, I think a few things from more modern times could be implemented into Classic without destroying the Classic experience, cosmetics and crows are two of those things, but they definitely aren't needed.
    As in for the Green Shop, I can't wait to see how it'll be done. I definitely think that MTA players getting stuff on ZS isn't that much of an issue since Green Coins are a key feature of Mr. Green's servers as a whole, but I understand the concerns in mind, all in all, whichever path is taken, I think it's all viable if done well! 
    For now I'll be awaiting for any news regarding the gamemode/Green ZS servers in general!
