Yes, the likely thing that will happen is that we get as many people as possible in when the map first starts to begin mining resources, and at the same time me and Awesomeo will claim as much as we can and lay down the border. After that we'll filter out the people who want to go start their own factions, giving them a share of the resources that they mined, and can get to work with the people who actually want to be part of the team and have fun building stuff(probably the people that apply in this thread!)

After 9 months of nurturing, Awesomeo and I have birthed the idea of a brand new faction: The likes of which you will of never seen before, and we need your help to make conceive it (Too many birthing puns? Nah) The basis of this faction will be two things. 1) To build a huge breath taking base. This will be our main focus this map, as this base will be a stunning and complex events arena with several floors capable of hosting multiple MC events. Generally we will be putting our own builds on the first level and entrance to the arena, and then the events underground and above the central level. This is something we will constantly be improving to make as stunning as possible, making full use of MC's new limitations and blocks. And the use of all these empty floors and buildings you ask? Well.. 2) To create many activities inside the base in which other server players can come and take part in. Think of our faction like event organisers, and me and Awesomeo your cool bosses that throw you scraps of diamond every now and then. This means we will be able to host REGULAR community events on the server (something that's been asked for for a while) including PvP tournaments, a Casino, underground team dungeons, Spleef tournaments, YOU NAME IT! All in a relatively short amount of time. Combined with the addition of GC trading and Emeralds in MC, this will be relatively easy for us to maintain and run. If you're thinking to yourself, "Oh, but Minky! Why bother spending all our time making this base when it's just going to be deleted?!" then CALM DOWN BRO! The community arena can be copied over to new MC maps after we've built it, so we don't have to start from scratch each time, but still get to enjoy building fresh new things for people on the server. If you wish to become part of the faction then post an application below, everyone is welcome at this stage so don't be shy. - MINECRAFT NAME - WHY YOU WANT TO BE IN THE FACTION - WHAT YOU CAN OFFER AS A LONG TERM MEMBER - IF YOU CAN USE THE MC TEAM SPEAK CHANNEL OR NOT - BUILDING SKILL LEVEL /10 (roughly) - IF YOU ARE A PREVIOUS MEMBER OF PRODIGUILD/RANGERS We're going to split it into three phases 1) Resource gathering: this will show us how much we can trust you as a player, think of it as a 'review' stage, but we want as many people as possible on this to help us get the resources we need and claim the land we need anyway. 2) Here we will filter out those of you who want to go off to make their own faction (You can take 50/50 of the resources that you mined if you wish) and then start work on building the main base - This will take up a big chunk of our time this map, as we want to make this perfect! Your building skills don't have to be brilliant, as me and Awesomeo will tell you what to do, and give more experienced jobs to the best builders of you. 3) Last of all, beginning work on making events for people, building our own personal structures and much, much more.

Im hoping for a more in depth demonstration of the new crytek engine And obviously more hitman absolution and assassins creed gameplay would be cool,

Played this a while back, games like this are always interesting Its very similar to the idea of Dear Esther, just with more options.. (I kind of know the developers of dear esther )

Personally i'm going to focus on PVP a bit more this weekend, as I dont want to completely ruin the pve part of the game before its even released (points at Luke) It'd be nice to play with a few more of you guys, everyone split up for the first event so we have a good idea of the game and controls and everything, so now would be a good time to start working on how the guild systems go and how we can team up without having to arrange things beforehand

You were playing in the new zs, which was only released like 3 or 4 months ago or something

True, I was going to say we could switch to FR2 when we need to drop off supplies but than thats probably more hassle than just staying on FR2

We could always split the two squads onto 2 different servers: Maybe having the Green squad on a slightly less occupied server so we can focus on gathering resources and only have to worry about zombies and not other players (iowa is quite a good one, odd as it sounds, its sunny through the evening+most of the night and the ping is fine on it)

Are there many servers running 1.7?
