In my opinion, l4g isn't a large enough community to NEED more forum moderators! I mean, yeah there are 7000 members, but there arent THAT many who regularly post (probably all BlueYoshi's alternate accounts). Its more like we're a little retarded family of europeans, not a huge community of random people that needs actively moderating, so the benefits of having more moderators seems kind of.. pointless
If you're suggesting they buy power so the server makes more money, a better thing to think of would be ways the server can use green coins more. Its fairly limited in what you can do with them at the minute, and there could easily be hundreds of extra things you can do with them to customise your profile or other perks in games and stuff like that,

- Possibly some world edit related stuff, for example a faction could pay for a forest to be generated around their land, or a lake to be filled with water, but they would have to be very expensive to buy..
PERKS:
- Spawning with an active potion e.g. spawning with a Speed potion effect, (I dont know if this is possible)
- Increased damage protection when on your faction land
I suggest that you add MUCH more to the food one, as food is fairly easy to get but you need a lot of it, people are more likely to buy say half a stack of pork than just one of each type of food, because you'd use that in like 5 minutes
Also if people are gonna use the shop more, the amount of hackers NEEDS to be cut down, its just so easy to get a set of dia armor nowadays. If the server gets enough donations is there a chance the CPU can be upgraded and anti-ore hacking stuff can be installed?

I'd rather the faction wasnt stupidly huge.

Lately, very few of the l4g users play MineCraft, and the consequently the server has pretty much no one who actively wants to play and admin it and makes the whole economy go to shit. This ideas been thrown around before but never made, all talk and no action, so I figure now is a good time to do it before the next map comes and there are more new players and the economy system
I've opened up a Left4Green faction, which any respected players from Left4Green can join and play! This doesn't mean Green only, some people will be obviously let in and others we'll decide together, kinda like Green suggestions. This way people don't have to worry about playing with just kiddies and hackers, and can use the server for whatever they want! And if enough people want to play then it will be easy for people to just go and build if they are into the creative side of it, or if people like raiding then can go out and own everyone, and we can do team builds and stuff as well! + use the TeamSpeak channel too
It seems appropriate that it should also be our responsibility to
- Tell the rules to new players/warn people breaking rules
- Help in reporting hackers
- And instill a sense of authority on the server by doing the things above, since we would be the closest link to the admins, instead of people playing as if there are no moderators and doing whatever they want
Apart from that we would be like a normal faction, just with more the community it was actually made for (Essentially what the Pistoners used to be). If people start playing and enjoy it like they used to, then this should make the server much nicer to play on and make it possible for TC to recruit more potential admins!

My advice to you, would to try and be more socially active with lots of people instead of just her, so you can be more confident in yourself and improve your social skills to. You have to prompt people to talk to you and make an effort to go out and do things and meet new people, because the likely hood is its NOT going to happen the other way around. Even if you find it hard or anxious to ask people to go out and do things or even just talk to new people, you have to suck it up and do it if you want to be happier in your social life and you'll feel much better much quicker! And I said with lots of people, because if you JUST try and talk to her more you'll find it harder and its not gonna be good for your self esteem either just chasing one person around to be friends with
With things to talk about, maybe look at what she likes and what her hobbies are and find a common interest, and then work off of that. Maybe shes into films, or art, or a sport that you both like, maybe you could both go and do something that you both like together. Asking out of the blue might be a bit odd, probably best just to mention 'are you into blah blah?' after a bit of idle chatter instead of a really direct question out of no where. If you get on well enough with her and can work up your confidence maybe you can meet some of her friends and get into a new group of friends even!
Just make sure not to.. Cross the line, in asking to meet her and stuff, because as you said you don't care about going out with her and stuff, so you dont want to piss off her boyfriend and CERTAINLY don't want to end up looking like a creep, so just play it cool.
The sooner you start trying to talk to more people the better, life's to short to just sit around waiting for good things to happen to you, and as you get older you'll have less and less time and opportunities to meet new people and experience new things, so try and take a moment to look at your life and what you want to achieve and do to be happy, then jump right into it!

I thought about making this, decided not to incase it just annoyed people ;v

I think there should be a complete overhaul of it, (and if not, just removed or have the server shifted to hosting a different game).
PLUGINS: The plugins depend on what new game mode would be decided. I think when doing a new server, its best to delete all the plugins and start again, as it gets a bit messy and you end up with plugins you don't need. The spamming plugin would need to be replaced either way.
GAME MODE: Faction wars can be good, but its ran its course here. Each time it resets its exactly the same (as I said before). While an awesome unique game mode would be nicen - like the SpaceCraft thing I'm trying to make - that does take much more time and effort, and you to consider the amount of time top crew would have. The game mode should be whatever the majority of l4g members want it to be, be it an edited faction wars, creative, vanilla, whatever. Maybe even get people from the forums to design a new game mode.
CONNECTION STABILITY: To have more slots would require a better server, which obviously costs even more money. Either find a cheaper host (suggestion http://goo.gl/CZMNJ ), make players pay a monthly subscription of like or 2 euros or something to have a place, or tell the players the server is shutting down to get them to leave, and host it under a different address (I see no other option, if it were to be members only joining you would just get tons of people spamming in the mc thread, which people complain about anyway).
COMMUNITY: Is terrible, and I'm sure the majority DON'T want it dragging on here. I don't know what else to say on that.. Ive heard several people refer to this as the MineCraft forum, which sucks ass considering the large and wide community of people here, and the amount of effort put into it all over the years.
ADMINISTRATION: Clavus is very picky with his admins, and that is a good thing, but there are also barely any people who play MineCraft who would be good admins anyway, so the chance of anyone on the server being made admin is miniscule. The current admins don't like it from what I've seen, and so its left un-moderated until someone posts stuff on here and they can fix it. Only way to fix that is to get descent players to WANT to play it from the forums, which youd have to do by doing an overhaul of the server (or bribing them with sweets). As I said, if it were a communal design of the server than that wouldn't be an issue.
FRUSTRATIONS: (for me) The community, the cost to the forums; the lack of respect to admins; the lack of admins; the fact it sucks; the fact that barely anyone on the forums likes it.
Issues with the lag, players, plugin issues etc. are obvious. I think what a better question is wether or not you don't play because of THOSE problems, or just because you are just bored of it as well. For me its the later,
