Clavus Posted July 7, 2012 Author Posted July 7, 2012 Because that's still an option.Anyway, I've disabled the /drop <green coins> command since it was used to dupe Ender Pearls. Problem is I can't fix it as is, since Minecraft doesn't have a system in place to properly track ItemStacks. Quote

jellyfish999111 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 with the faction power gc items landlord ect, when you loose power in the game do u loose 4 points or all points ie if u have an extra 2 power bringing you up to 6, do you loose 6 points or 4 points... thanks Quote
jellyfish999111 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 also i suggest you do something eith firespread. ... as much as i love starting fires and watching them burn peoples houses down i can see either a lightning strike or a more deliberate fire starting and with jungle covering the whole map i can see very large portions of the map being destroyed Quote
awesomeo_5000 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Nah the factions plug in is configured to take 4 power per death. If you had both power boost settings you'd have a max power of 8, and after one death have 4. Quote
martinblsl Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 So if i buy both power perks my player will have max of 8 power not 4 powere added to faction?and will it carry on with me to future maps?? Quote
awesomeo_5000 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 (edited) The first 2 power will, the one that says expires in 14 days does what it says on the tin. Edited July 8, 2012 by awesomeo_5000 Quote
Sacrevy Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 What about removing enchanting / brewing stands in 1.3 ? I liked minecraft way more the way it used to be.(when it still required skill instead of enchantments and potions) Quote
awesomeo_5000 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 You'd alienate half the player base and please the other half. I proposed removing protection III and IV (possible with a bukkit plug in) and the higher sharpness enchants. It'd be interesting to see what 1.3 enchanting is like before making any further decisions though. Quote
Clavus Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 Rewrote my Green-Coins plugin. All database calls are now asynchronous meaning they no longer freeze up the main server thread when the database connection is being funny. That should stop those random 5 second freezes the server had from time to time. The code is now a huge mess and can only be maintained by me Quote

Clavus Posted July 9, 2012 Author Posted July 9, 2012 Opinions so far on Guerilla Faction Wars? Seems to refresh the concept a bit. People leave their base a lot more and PvP has become more interesting since potions and enchantments aren't abundant. I might try other Faction Wars variants in the future. Quote

I might try other Faction Wars variants in the future. In my opinion it's a LOT better than it used to be because now you can't get high enchantments so that means the now to win a PvP match you need skill not enchantments. Most of the good factions are now bad because they lost their enchants. I think faction wars should stay as it is. Quote

hulpje Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 well if all NPC villages get blown up anyway you might just as well make emeralds do the job? Quote
AliasAr Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 well if all NPC villages get blown up anyway you might just as well make emeralds do the job?Thats not a good idea because if someone gets 2 villagers he/she can make a breeding cell and he/she would become rich. Quote
awesomeo_5000 Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) That's a pretty good idea Jellyfish The most useless item has got to be long grass. There have been times that I'd love to of duped dirt. Edited July 19, 2012 by awesomeo_5000 Quote
Clavus Posted July 19, 2012 Author Posted July 19, 2012 The problem isn't the fact it dupes the item. It's the fact I can't track separate item stacks (two item stacks of 10 dirt are practically equal in the code). So I can't connect a Green-Coins value to an item stack. Quote
