Corby
I like the map, its not 100% accurate as I think my house was erased but I built a small cabin in it's place, it's just outside of the capital in a big forrest I like to keep my area private because no-one can be trusted until the server side inventories are out, even then there's no protection. deathbycrowbar
Back from holiday.Just built myself a small castle downhill from the cathedral. Quite pleased with it. Goes down into a nice mine I'm working on too. Edited August 15, 2010 by deathbycrowbar Quote Link to comment

Toaster
Who own this huge ego build? It was buled today Whoever built it, built it farther out than Kathandrax. Quote Link to comment
Clavus
Meh it isn't that bad. It's pretty bland because he only used planks. No effort in it at all :/I'm more bothered by a player who still doesn't clean up trees properly. Seriously, if you see leaves with treeblocks hanging in the sky, at least cut away the tree blocks so the leaves disappear themselves. Quote Link to comment
Notte
btw, here is the big build of the day Quote Link to comment
Clavus
You made a name in the mountain for a place that consists of like, two actual buildings...?You guys should start building more houses then. Also nobody get the bright idea to do the same for the main village, the Mr. Yellow smiley is enough. Corby
Im still upset about the death of lava beach from long ago. I think we'll have to recreate it in some way. With a lot of patience and time. Also I'm sick of people messing with my shit, please stop. Quote Link to comment
Mayco
Some huge stuff was built while I was gone:I believe this was built by Notte and Toaster with a bit of help from John Caveson. Also, who built this huge tunnel system?(I do understand everyone has already seen it, I just didn't see it around here) Quote Link to comment
EmRA
My eyes, ze goggles do nuthin!Whats up with that bridge with no supports? Quote Link to comment
deathbycrowbar
Found a working inventory saving program called persister. Download hereJust put it in your minecraft directory where you keep minecraft.exe then just run it instead of minecraft.exe Quote Link to comment
Clavus
I don't know who build the tunnel system, it looks stupid though. No effort at all besides grinding blocks. Also Mayco, store your torches in a underground basement or something instead of all over the front of your house. And what's with all the other junk there. Minecraft is (believe it or not) a game about mining and mining is a fundamentally grind based activity (IRL and ingame). Tunnels take effort to make whatever they look like so surely it's better for it to look like that than a boring square tunnel. Quote Link to comment

But it still falls in the gap between square tunnels and 'what-we-like-to-see'. If you're going to make something big (tunnel or building) I'd expect to put some equal effort in making it look nice. If you want to make something huge in 5 minutes you're missing the point. When you walk around the village for example, it's a lot of fun to see the attention to detail at some spots. Makes the place feel cozy (it'd be nice if we had a proper day/night cycle..). Quote Link to comment
Deluvas
Here's my secret vault where I kept stuff so I could make tools faster after crash/reconnect. Sometimes, I even forget which way to go!Long tunnel is long! (This ain't the longest, trust me)I call it .. The Chamber of DOOM!Yep. You're looking at the end of the world right now! That's the top right corner of the map. (The lake actually)This is The Shihole! It connectes different levels of tunnels...and this is the Hall of Stone! Speaks for itself... Quote Link to comment
Hero
Next planned project by Deluvas and me:Hopefully someone has Clavus' address so the ambulance can be called in time, because I fear that he will get a heart attack after seeing this Edited August 16, 2010 by Hero Quote Link to comment

BouweV
In my opinion awesome 'what-we-like-to-see' tunnels should be like real mining tunnels, with wooden support things and maybe a minecart+track Edited August 16, 2010 by BouweV Quote Link to comment

(The lake actually)Meh, because I cropped the map it doesn't generate new terrain at the places I removed. That's why 3 sides of our map won't generate new terrain. Quote Link to comment
