    A new update is now live on Mr Green ZS !
    Bots are now available to play with, they're automatically spawned at the beginning of the game (10 humans + 2 zombies when round starts, numbers may change in the future).
     
    Along with the bots, minor additions :
    - Added a UI indicator that shows what your next reward/weapon will be, and how many kills you need to get it.
    - Added Ziggurat V2 to the mapcycle
    - Various bugfixes caused by bots mainly.

    Details below !
     
    Where do the bots spawn ?
    They're available on all maps in the mapcycle.
    Human bots will spawn on regular human spawns.
    Zombies will spawn on regular spawns AND specific bot spawns (due to some map limitations, custom spawns were added to help them reach certain spots). Zombie players won't be able to spawn on these, but they can go to the toxic gases to heal themselves.
     
    What can bots do ?
    Bots are meant to look like real players, as such they have a random name, a random icon and a random title. They can sometimes wear a hat too.
    They can kill eachother and kill players, and you can of course kill them too (no friendly-fire though).
    Depending on the maps, they're able to climb obstacles / ladders and move almost everywhere where a navmesh exists.
     
    Human bots start with the usual pistol + melee loadaout and are able to get new guns by killing zombies, just like human players do.
    When a human bot is hurt or fires at a zombie, nearby allies will come to assist him if they're not busy.
    There's a also a WIP follower/leader structure, where bots can follow a player or another bot, or just roam around in solo.
    Bots use the excuse me / reloading / pain sounds that is used for normal players.
     
    Zombie bots automatically choose a target and follow it until it kills it or gets killed. They're able to do propkills if they find props on  their way, so be careful !
    For now, only normal zombies are implemented. Other classes will follow in the coming weeks.
     
    What can't they do ?
    At the moment, bots can't redeem. This will be added later.
    Human bots can't drop their weapons or pick weapons up for now but this will be fixed in a future patch.
    They can't use barricade kits.  And probably never will.
    They can't talk (obviously), but they may get some random lines of text / taunts / memes popping in the future.
    Old ladders (the ones where you press E) can't be used by bots, so expect some maps where they won't be able to reach you if you're in a spot which has such ladder. Though, some maps can/will be modified to replace these ladders with the compatible ones.
     
    Human  bots won't take damage from toxic gases, since they're moving everywhere and I have no way to tell them to avoid the toxic gases.
    Zombies are not healed by the gases but this will probably change in the future.
     
    Bots don't benefit the upgrades / perks systems.
     
    Known issues to be fixed:
    Bots/bots & bots/players collisions. Since it's causing a few side-issues, I want to fix that one but it may not be possible, it requires fiddling with the bot library I'm using but I'm hopeful it can be fixed.
    Navmesh optimization : navmeshes will be reworked / improved overtime to have less glitchy spots where bots would be bugged.
    Obstacle avoidance : bots can sometimes get stuck in ceilings or props, this is related to navmesh optimization and some tweaking to do in the code as well.
    Ending screen doesn't show bots score / times.

    It's been quite some time since the last update.
     
    Done :
    - Daily missions system
    - Small UI rework 
     
    TODO :
    - Mr Green account linking
     
    I will have other stuff to do, but I think I can consider the mod ready for a release after I'm done with the account linking.
    Future developments / changes will be released on the live mod.

    Some weapons can you heal you when you Lvl up them to lvl 5 : USP-45 and UMP for example.
    Also, there are upgrades in the shop that give regeneration (quick cure / horse health).

    You have to keep this Server up. Brings back old times. Even if its not perfect its still really fun.

    In real life, i'm a linux system engineer, happily living with my fiancé in our small house, doing weird shit on linux and some permaculture in the garden. I'm also a huge motorbike fan!

    I got kinda used to deal with immature &/or mad people, while being myself pretty chill.

    Firstly, very nice to see this gamemode come back, it was and probably still is my favourite game and the sole reason i bought garrysmod to begin with. I pirated the game on PacSteam before buying it, and if I'm not mistaking, Mr Green had the only no-steam server so it was probably the first server I ever played.
    Anywho, heres my feedback after trying the demo on sunday:
    - Zombies should be able to spawn anywhere as long as out of sight of humans, if anyone remember killas zombie survival in the past, they had it and it made being zombie easier when less people were playing. It also prevents spawn camping. 
    - The colours or whatever filter is on to lack contrast or something, it seemed a bit grayish if that makes sence.
    - Set bloodspatter on max if possible, in the old versions i remember there to be tons of blood everywhere when people died.

    Little something about your self and why you think you're fit to be admin: I can write an extensive post about all the things related to zombie survival and the many years I have spent om the MR.GREEN zs server from 2009 onwards. From getting all the achievements in ZS to buying everything in the store to getting admin and finally becoming server manager to finally having to forego the zombie survival servers due to lack of people working on the gamemode. I have never truly lost interest in zombie survival and want to be a part of getting people in line when they step out of line when necessary.

    I know we have talked only briefly before, but I really appreciate the work that you have done to sustain mr.green and the fact that you actually went ahead and done what you had actually told me in our conversation, which is to get the gmod servers back up with coders that know how ZS is supposed to be like. In a similar vein I had to let go of the gmod servers as a manager, but sometimes you know that the best thing to do is to let someone else take over and move your baby even more forwards. Hope to see you around in the community @Cena
    And good luck @AfuSensi in running this amazing community. Hopefully we can get the gmod servers thriving again with a strong community.

    Playing this version of ZS made me realize how empty it was compared to the classes version that deluvas had created. I still hold my opinion i have had for a long time. The version deluvas made was and still is the best iteration of zombie survival that was created to me. It has a very good balance overall and gives people with different playstyles a concrete choice. I cannot see myself playing the very old version, but I would once in a while drop into the version with the human classes and cading. 
    This is not to discredit the work that has been gone into it though, it is amazing that you managed to get it working as if things had never changed (with only a few changes needed to match this version of ZS).

    I concur, Deluvas' version (L4G) was my favourite, but pre-Deluvas' version (Classic) is still leagues ahead of modern ZS, my personal favourite perks/classes to play were Medic and Berserker back then, listening to Shadows screaming in the microphone was psychotic, chaotic yet funny. I just hope I can experience both versions, still looking forward to the L4G version being revived, but definitely Classic being revived has made me smile during these weekends, even if they were just demos. Can't wait to see the full thing once both are properly worked on! Definitely excited for both. I do really trust in the current developers to restore Green's ZS glory.

    Whilst this was also my favourite iteration to play (I never played zs pre Deluvas days), I would definitely have to interject maybe the balance wasn't perfect! The classes were fairly balanced for sure and they had great synergy, can certainly remember sticking together with power classes like Damien's commando or the berserkers who'd always need topping off. But certain upgrades in the green coin shop combined with some classes could potentially make you very hard to kill, compared to a new player anyway.
    Medic's healing rate in particular was very strange, you'd heal 1 health per 1 kit charge until level 4 where you could then heal others at a 2:1 ratio and yourself for 2:1 at level 5, once you'd hit that you suddenly turned from mediocre to a very hard to kill kiting machine as you could also heal yourself on the move and your med kit recharged over time. Commando, engineer and support were fairly balanced mostly but a berserker that had bought every upgrade in the gc shop would commonly be the final survivor due to taking much less damage, moving much faster then normal zombies, healing up with melee off of fast zombies and using their guaranteed auto shotgun they received as last survivor via an upgrade when confronted with larger roadblocks blocking their path.
    Additional note edit: I did still enjoy this version of zs though, it was really nostalgic playing on the old maps and just instinctively remembering where people would usually go. There were so many familiar names, will definitely be peeking my head in every so often upon the full release, even without the classes it has bought me back to the old days. You're doing gods work!

    I'm happy to announce that a public demo weekend for Zombie Survival : Redeemed Demo is planned for the following dates :
    Friday, November 20th at 19:00:00 GMT time to Sunday, November 22nd 23:59:59
    In the mean time, a private test demo is planned this week to make a few adjustments / optimizations.
     
    Server IP is  : 5.2.65.5:22054
    Please note that the following content won't be part of the demo :
    - Greenshop
    - Achievements
    - Unlockable content
    - General Menu (aka F1 / help menu, thought there might be a placeholder menu for the demo)
     
    If you join the game during the demo weekend, you will be able to earn Greencoins that will be added to your account when the final mod will be released !
    Participants will also get an exclusive in-game title that will be awarded on release  !
    Make sure to join the Mr Green Gaming Discord to have fun with us during that weekend !
