Considering the relative success of SAO and the ending tone to the series then yes its quite likely there will be. Hyouka is a good one to watch it wont disappoint especially if you like the talkative/mind-game style of things in other series like monogatari series, kokoro connect, un-go or Gosick.

Well SOA was a decent ending and managed to salvage the series but the second ark as a whole was lackluster compared to the first. Last but 1 episode of Sukitte Ii na yo was a tad dissapointing and dull. Girls und Panzer is postponed till MARCH WTF MARCH SRSLY!? Started watching worlds strongest disciple kenichi which is very nice.

Chuuni ended silly 12/12 episodes Psycho pass re hooked me with that episode finally something brakes up the murder>investigation>solved into something alot more layered and deep + our unbeatable detective finally beaten really gives a nice emotional impact. I actually liked that k episode it really gave me the holly shit next episode is gonna be amazing feel, it really mounted the tension nicely. Zetsuen was always a good anime but i have a new found respect for it after that episode. Im tempted to increase the score on all of the above actually(xept chuuni). Jourmungand was a tad bit of a letdown after how much tension was built up previous episode.

Okay noticing the impending doom of anime (aka most of my current airing stuff is dead in 1 or 2 episodes). Therefore i need to preemptively fill this void with more anime. Well my bad for missing the o thats what i get for not checking the spelling . Overall muv luv ended on a high,its a shame the quality didnt pan out after the first 2 episodes (And it didnt turn into a harem)otherwise muv luv would have been a stand out instead of your average mecha harem.

TBH the ALO arc of SAO made me drop it to a 8/10. IT just wasnt handled as well as the SAO ark. The SAO ark was a 9-9.5 easily but the transition to and execution of ALO was a letdown. Quality was definitely suffered due to a lot of little things rather than 1 big thing. Wouldn't Sugou be dead i mean seriously if the pain barrier was 0 wouldnt he basically get 100% of the feedback. I`m pretty sure that if you got hacked to death the sock would kill you. Assuming there's no redundant safety locks in place for that sort of thing in the nerv gear. Wait wasn't this explained already that the new helmets were basically improved software security therefore unable to be highjacked electronically. Due to the events of SAO we can assume that redundant systems were put in place to prevent in game experiences killing players. AKA only those with the old helmets can die afaik. Just a little assumption on my part to explain how sugou isn't dead.

Its pacing is extremely well done and is really ramping it up towards the final episode. K just reached number 11/13 and its really drawing on all its set pieces to create what is going to be one hell of a finale Joumungand as mentioned above; koko scares me how loco she is. There's a few voice actors that do ALL THE ANIME. Guys like him are in everything. Like how Crispin Freeman does all the good english dubbed anime, Like how Aya Hirano not only sings all the good anime songs but also does all the famous moe/loli characters, Like how Rie Kugimiya does all the Kawaii and tsundre out there. I could go on but basically most of the people who are in good anime do ALL the animes.

I never said animes with over 100+ episodes are bad. Is just that as general rule of thumb they lack story integrity or character development after a certain point. Rurouni Kenshin is barely over 100 besides i never said there weren't exceptions The Gatari series 15(bakemono)+11(nisemono)+kizumono+nekomono = I highly doubt they will reach 100+ and Clavus also makes a good point.

Well my take on it is this. my favorite anime of all time isCode geass. Code geass is considered god tier anime . Its 50 episodes long over the 2 series. Its story is as tight as they get for a overly complicated counter logical thinking protagonists. Its not perfect but suffers from less overly contrived bullshit that death note gets later on. Then just imagine the above with 200 episodes. The amount of plot twist bullshit and filler would wreck it. Why kill something good by squeezing it for every possible episode? While i would love to get more code geass over 99% of other animes (as we all know lelouch is actually alive theory) any actual extension to Code Geass from the current setting would be a bad thing. And this is generally why i say anything that has over 100+ episodes as a rule is a bad anime as it doesn't know when to quit. I dont hate on mainstream just like my plot to have integrity. D gray man is probably an exception but does suffer from filler. Also if you add up all the episodes/movies following FM:A your probably at 100+ mark Examples of good animes stopping. Shakugan no Shana stoped at 3x 24 episode series +OVAS Monster 64 episodes Bakemonogatari breaks tradition with 15 episodes

Death note is one of if not the best show to start watching anime. The reason its so highly rated is because so many newbies watch it. While this isnt necessarily a bad thing people tend to overstate its goodness because of it. The entire last quarter where he goes emo is just bs on so many levels. Then again the argument of whether or not he was on a power trip or trying to create a perfect world makes death note one of the best arguing points in any anime. The best arguing point in anime is probably whether or not Lelouch from code geas was right or not. As promised the top 50 of my personal recommendations that most people should watch. I have personally watched everything(except berserk and aria). Ive tried to include least amount of bias and the most amount variety possible. This list is geared more towards action/supernatural/drama and psychological. Most of these are top 100 on MAL. *means multiple parts to the series that may be needed for full experience/enjoyment

4th and 5th most popular animes on MAL arent on there is basically what were saying.

Seen 30/80 Its a good list. The fact that CLANNAD isnt there is an insult to all GOD tier/harem/romance/drama anime. Im going to stop there before i destroy half the list. Ill start writing my own then at some point as everything is subjective.

If its rating is 6.8 on MAL and you say its good then i know your definition of good is seriously different to my definition of good.
