Got an exam on monday so I'll really have to tone down my playtime for a little while.

Ok because things went south pretty rapidly, I'm now enforcing the minimal-3-players-per-faction setting again (so you need 3 players before you can claim land). Since I don't want to force players to work in groups, you're now allowed to make an entry with just a subset of the members in your faction. So no longer is an entry tied to a single faction, but to 1 or more players that you list yourself.

Nvm the thing about the xray banned players being able to play, they're in the global ban list too and I'm not removing them from there.

Ok, done waiting for Minecraft 1.3. Starting later today, until Minecraft 1.3 is released until July 6th, 23:59 (GMT+1), the Minecraft server will run the Mr. Green Minecraft Olympics Build Contest! The map will be reset once the contest starts. Factions will be altered to accommodate building teams (no power loss, 10 power per player, no building outside faction area, max 100 power per faction, Creative Mode for everyone). GOAL The goal? Build an arena / playground / field where players can go 1 on 1, 1 vs a team, or team vs team in a specific game (doesn't have to be symmetrical). For example, a Spleef Arena, or PvP battle ground (Sky arenas? Underground lava temple?), or ender pearl throwing match, or a redstone puzzle room. You can make up whatever game you want, as long as you clearly define the play rules and you can demonstrate it. You can make multiple arenas / playgrounds for the same game, but it'll be judged as a single entry. HOW TO PARTICIPATE You can only participate as part of a faction. Just create or join a faction, claim some land (you need at least 3 players in a faction to claim land!), and you're good to go. Once you've finished a structure you can submit it in this topic. JUDGING Judging is done by me. I will base my choices on 1) effort that went into the structure, 2) how much fun the game is. PRIZES 1st place: 10.000 Green-Coins (total, not per member) and permanent reserved slots for all faction members. 2nd place: 5000 Green-Coins 3rd place: 2500 Green-Coins All winning entries will be immortalized in our WorlEdit template folder and might be used for future events. RULES Ruining the server using your newfound Creative Mode powers will get you banned real quick.

Night vision goggles make anything possible

Massi's friend seems to have fun shooting a guy that keeps trying to reach our base. Also the Ural disappeared somehow (Reap3r will be pissed) without the barricade breaking down. The other vehicles (pickup and hatchback) are now nearly broken because they slowly rolled into the barricade which damaged them. If I hadn't moved most of our shit around to new locations I'd be frustrated by now Anyway, time for a Berezino night hospital raid.

And farting fire. Anyway I'm changing my approach to this game a little. Maintaining one big base just isn't much fun and I nearly killed myself trying to get to the Ural (bloody hell Reap3r you made a deathtrap). I'm using our tents to spread out goodies across the map so it never takes too long to get restocked. Tents disappear 2+ days after death though so made sure there's always a backup tent inside the tent to pitch a new one after death. Also keep vehicles away from your tent because if you flatten it you lose all the shit in it apparently.

Nothing worked for me today. I can be as careful as possible yet still run into fucking walls and make cars explode. Shitnuggets. And that's why you should not assume someone's dead just because he dropped to the floor.

Today my Day Z Karma theory was proven. At the start of the evening our Ural got stolen within the 40 minute timeframe I was logged off. It was full of shit that Reap3r had been duping all day. Later, after we moved our base and did some raiding, I finally convinced Reap3r to stop using a bugged out character exploit and update his game already. Not long after, he found our Ural back just parked about 200m north west of the old spot, hidden in a forest with near zero fuel. We guess a noob found it, took it, and didn't know that all those full jerry cans in the back could fill up the tank before he abandoned it

For anyone having problems surviving in the latest Day Z patches without a weapon, here's a few tips.

PSA: Rocket's wiping all tents in 1.7.1.5. Don't use em until after the update has landed. Edit: Moar details. We're finally getting a proper hatchet back. And flashlights will become part of the gear. There's also a new Arma 2 beta patch.

Well I checked. You're not in our main ban list. You're on the xray ban list, which you didn't mention. You're not getting unbanned.

It IS amazing, when the bugs and glitches aren't ruining the experience. But that only happens on occasion. As for your specs, I think they should run Arma 2, but not on the highest of settings. Best thing to do once you get the game is not to immediately jump onto the Day Z servers, but instead spend some time in the bootcamp tutorials to change your settings and controls, and to get a feel for the game engine.
