I effing hate 'spawn PVP' all people ever do, is talk big whilst standing in a safezone, run out as soon as they start losing enderpearl back into the safe zone. It's the single, most annoying tactic anyone has used in the history of human conflict, ever. That being said, there are already teleporters that take you to and from spawn. If you're someone that likes to go to spawn a lot, build your base near one of them. IMO, the whole spawn warp thing would be a lot of work for little reward. It's just a crater. Not a great deal to be done there except use the teleporters. If it was implemented, it should be a GC perk.

Which faction are you Moosey? Don't be disheartened, your idea is good and something the server admins attempted before, unfortunately as mentioned it caused more problems that it solved. I imagine its just a matter of finding a stable plug in that works with our set up. Hopefully when Mojang implement their modding API, all of the modding community will become more streamlined and modular, meaning things will work better together without any coding effort. Until then, /cloak helps immensely (You can purchase it in the green coins shop, and it is valid forever). That way the logger doesn't know if you're there or not. You can then get another friend with /cloak to get to your location. Then you f home, un cloak and then the logger thinks it's safe to come back. The f home exploit is just plain annoying, but don't think there's much administration could do about that with the current set up. Keep your eyes open for any new plug ins regarding combat logging, could be a useful one out there.

There used to be like a 30 second period that you could still tnt someone after they logged. I've not tried this world, but could just be wrongly configured. I'd plus one the suggestion though, put the time at say 5 minutes.

Yeah, it's more hassle than it's worth. IMO, you can't have a decent faction with people you don't trust. Rangers only have IRL friends, and some guys from uni that don't really play much, so it's no worry. I'd recommend the same

Happened before, Corby banned all the accounts but they just get fresh ones. My real issue is with Spam Guard. It filters commands like f home or f map but not /kill? Where's the logic in that? I've been killed numerous times because at the wrong time I couldn't f home for repeating it too many times, even over an hour! Is there any way to configure it to either reset the number of times you can say something after say 10 minutes, or remove f home from it and add /kill?

Give it 3 days, you'll have a look for other servers, find a few that look decent. But you'll eventually realise, there's no other server with the set up we have, and none of them are as enjoyable. And you'll be back It sucks for everyone that the factions were wiped; not just the guys asking for resets. But since that, a lot of people have rebuilt and a lot of new people have arrived. To ask for their experiences to be ruined because you can't suck it up and move on is just plain naughty. Don't be naughty.

Type f owner [player name] *without the []*. Mods in the faction can bypass it though, so be careful who you promote. It will also claim the entire chunk, which can prove awkward if it covers communal doors, as it literally locks things as if you are not in faction terrritory.

To change back: disband, reform, reinvite, reclaim.

That sucks dude. If it's any consolation, I lost a stack of obsidian, some dirt, and some warts because of it. I reallllllly hate mining obsidian, so I don't mind buying a stack for portal use etc. If you do donate though, I'd stick to the perks at the bottom. The cloak and extra 2 power never run out, so it's worth while as you've been here for quite some time I seem to remember. The /chest is also the most useful raiding tool you'll ever come across I'd also like to think if something went wrong and they got corrupted somehow, they would be reinstated, as they're a bit different to vanilla blocks.

Way too hard to police, if an x-rayer is banned whilst x-raying those diamonds are removed from the game entirely. If we also got rid of the diamonds people used x-ray on but didn't get instabanned with, we'd have no diamonds.

There's no inactivity kicker. Just carry on building your base etc then later on tonight when the server calms down for a bit, leave your self afk for a while, could do it over night then have a look in the morning. On mac I can auto-crouch by pressing left shift, then right shift together, then letting both go. Not sure if you can do it on PC though. You'll only uncrouch if you type or another window pops up.

I have this issue when the server is laggy (which is pretty much all the time lol) Minecraft's growth coding is some rain man algebraic shit. Every tick it selects chunks to process growth in, with all the people online there are a lot of chunks to choose from, and with the lag the ticks don't occur as fast as they should. I only bother with wart farms late night/early morning when the server's about 40/100. Just leave my character logged in afk hiding somewhere (FAR) away from any nether portal.
