It isn't abused that much because people can just log off anyways. - with low voting rewards people don't want to vote that much because they're too lazy. If you make greater rewards everyone will feel pressure to vote to keep up with others.

Mathijs maybe you can't do these things yourself but it would be great if you could find out what players want and then telling top crew what changes would be good to make. You're basically the only person right now that has the power to do that.

I think so far Mathijs has done a pretty job as an administrator. For instance, I saw some people talking how they were scared to hack when Mathijs was around, which is a good thing. The New Years event was also a great idea that worked out well. However, as White pointed out, there are some situations where using admin powers interferes with normal play. There have to be some restrictions if more players are not going to be annoyed.

If we were to go by who is a likely chosen candidate that still plays 24/7 on mine craft that would be no one. Also no one has advantage in terms of "technology;" you don't need a super computer. Everything you need are programs free to install so that's not a reason for monkey man to use an excuse.

That doesn't really matter; if land is abandoned it will soon be unclaimed by autokick if someone is inactive. That takes weeks. I just don't want terrain being claimed by very small groups of people. Factions should be about having large groups of people managing a vast area. And in the end, it's the job of the players to welcome others. You can make your faction open and set up some player-owned chunks inside your own faction to protect the most valuable stuff. If you want, I could manage a set of advertisement signs near the spawn for factions that are open to new players. Sorry to bring reality but this isn't a happy world where we can do a sing-a-long and everything is just dandy. I agree that players should be more welcoming, but the fact is that people don't want to invite newbs. A lot of potential player base is lost. I don't know how many times I've seen this dialog:<new player joins game> new player: why can't I claim land? Experienced player: you need three ppl New player: fuck this server <new player leaves game>

In my opinion, public end is stupid. I mean, look at 1.2.5 when the server was popular. But then again, there was the glitch everyone used to get pearls, so maybe adding ender pearls to GC shop for a cheap price would be good.

Clavus, Here's the solution : get an admin that actually plays, and ask him what the players want in general. It's obvious that this style of suggestions isn't working.

Let's stop doing these restrictions. Vanilla Minecraft was what made this server simple and popular, and that's how it should be.

Removing the public end would basically mean the X-rayers at the start of each map control the end portal. Why is everyone a fan of enderpearl glitching? I really don't get it. I like how it is right now. Its not that iam a big fan of enderpearl glitches, its just that when you disable pearls, its much easier to get trapped in someones lans without being able to do shit if your in a too small area. And x raying for strongholds is a bitch move, but hey so is xraying for double/quad spawners like a massive amount of ppl already can. Id like to fight for the stronghold and i liked it way better back when for example discord had the end farm. I dont see why all these restrictions cant go, im tired of it, and the diffrence in players now and then says alot what others like about it aswell. Yeah I really hate public end, and the those reasons I think are why a lot of the players left.
