I was playin with my friend and he's from a different state than me and he also lost connection Different state ? Are you guys from the USA ? That would explain the 'server lagg', you're far far away from the host. I think they are Aussies which is still far away from the Netherlands.

I don't think it's a good idea to require players to have a certain mod and version to play on the server.

Have you tried the new IP? It's changed from play.minecraft.nl to server.minecraft.nl

I don't think that letting mods use /f owner would change anything. In fact, it might be annoying for the faction owner and the rest of the faction.

What do you mean? So that they can report people without even giving a proof? Sounds like a stupid idea I think he means trustworthy people who would tell the truth and he can contact an admin and the admin will come there and check if he is right. Yeah that's what I meant. With lots of new people, they think some random thing is hacking, even if it's not, very often so that's why I suggested. Kelly didn't have his video recording on the first time, and after that, xpr0legend's faction buddies blocked off around him I think.

Today, my fellow faction member KellyAnthony was out raiding, and it happened that xpr0legendx was AFK at a mob grinder. He manages through efforts to get there, but then is killed by the forcefield that xpr0 has turned on while AFK. Now, he didn't happen to be recording, and it was tough to get back there again, since xpr0 had fellow faction members online. My suggestion is that for a case like this, when a player didn't happen to have recording on, is to be able to maybe PM an admin who can teleport to the subject to verify. Now, I know the admins are busy people. They can't respond to everything. What if people could build a reputation or something by submitting ban reports of spam, recorded hacking and stuff, to prove they are a trustworthy source? Just a thought. Cases like this are simply outrageous. It's frustrating when hackers get away with stuff like this.

Yeah, invisibility is such a pain in the butt. It'd be really nice if that was fixed. The map right before this, I lost several suits of diamond armor due to that issue.

There were only really 2 peaceful factions, Janitors and some other thing I can't remember.. And they pretty much stopped playing - The people that I saw that did buy it ended up wanting to go raid and just got rid of it Some of those people intended from the start to go PvP after building up as a peaceful faction. It's not such a coincidence that they went back to PVP.

Pfff, everyone is just going to vote for his own faction, and every else who is in some lame faction will just vote for one of the factions they would like to join, in case if they join the forums, of course. For someone who "doesn't give a shit" about this topic, you sure are getting involved. This was just someone trying to find out what people think, no need to hate on it.

It's pretty lenient in the way it bans, so I wouldn't have thought so. It just looks like most of our players used it Perhaps it would be better to issue time based bans instead of map based ones, for example first offence is two weeks doubling as it goes along. That way there's some continuity with how long people get punished for. If someone who joins the server and x-rays on the last day of a map, they won't really learn the value of the punishment, and will likely reoffend the following day and earn him self a permanent ban. It also removes the need for unban appeals, which should clear up the ban section as people know they have to wait until x date to be able to play again. It'd just be a matter of coding the plug in to work in conjunction with a time-ban plug in on bukkit ^^This. Time based ban sounds a lot better than map based ban.
