I watched Monsters before but I can't seem to remember it somehow :(, so I will probably rewatch it soon.

I am happy that this episode of Gintama isn't a damn recap like last two weeks :P or wait was it?

Anyway, two new Daily lives of highschool boys specials out today :) I had a good laugh :).

Edit1:I have just watched "Sword of The Stranger"(ストレンヂア). I think it is the best animated samurai film I've ever seen so far. I am simply awed in silence at the end credit.

The film follows a nameless swordsman ("Nanashi") who appears to be a sullen-faced rogue but constantly being haunted by dreams of the past which lead him to seal his sword, and a fiercesome Western fighter among the Mings from China named "Rarou", who desires only to find a worthy opponent as circumstances draw them towards a mysterious young boy("Kotaro").

It's basically simple story about 2 extra-ordinal swordsman who never been able to have places to belong in feudal samurai period, come across to fight from different sides, one as a Ronin, hired bodyguard of impudence boy Kotaro, and the other as one of assassins from the Ming hunting the kid.

All shots are taken very realistically, almost like serious live-action Jidaigeki(samurai film), yet filled with zest of breathtaking animations. Every subtle dialogue and acting carefully placed to convey the drama, you easily get attached with the travel companions of Nanashi, Kotaro and a shiba dog "Tobimaru", but will find yourself somehow moved with sorely independent villain, Rarou.

Intense action sequences at the last 30 mins are not only one of the most beautifully animated sword fighting scene that you can almost feel the weight of hitting swords, coldness of snow and heat of pumping blood, but also pays off really well to these 2 "strangers" fate, leaves some sort of redemption like calm reverb after the storm.

I don't know about any show called Monsters but I do know Monster. One of the very few realistic real-world thriller shows. It's great, albeit a bit slow. It's long too.

For some reason I like watching shit like Naruto, it's like a powerful magnet to which I am sticked for some reason. Pretty sure I am just interested in "What happens next". Precisely, every anime out there is almost all the same except for that "Naruto" is not even about those fuckin' ninjas but about some weird magical techniques which look kinda odd. But I still watch it, sometimes I find it somewhat interesting and sometimes just too stupid with randomness, but still want to keep watching.

I have other anime's on my list to watch later:

Bleach, Shaman king... and there also are some names I forgot to mention but those are actually nice ones. Those aren't about action and shit but about normal people, with usual life happenings and so on.

Not talking about romantic anime but I rarely do watch them. Sometimes when I want to get relaxed.

EDIT: Does anyone here know Haruki Murakami? This dude's an awesome author. If someone read any of his books before he might understand by what I mean "romantic anime" and stuff about usual people. Though, Murakami writes too much philosophy which you can't really see in anime that much.

By the way, can you explain why SAO is on sunday? It always comes out on a saturday night for me.

I like bleach thats one of the only 2 animes i watched and the other is kissxsis wich is a fucked up one if u ask me my fucked up friend told me to watch it its fucked up. i cant beleve the japs put that show on there cartoon chanel.

To watch it your basically at the age to buy Porn/Have sex/Drive (Drink is 21 in Jpn)

Anime firstly is not even considered as a cartoon anyway. It wouldn't even be on what you shown on a "cartoon" channel and even if it was it would be a 9pm plus showing i assume (if their broadcasting regulations are like ours).

Yes Japan isnt what you would consider to be 'clean' in that sense, yes japan and the anime has problems with how they portray women in like 80% of anime.

But then again have you seen the stuff on TV lately?

Japan has its problem so does everywhere else so please don't genaralise just because you didn't like 1 aspect of a wide spectrum.

It's just borderline hentai. There are a lot worse stuff out there.

Funny at some parts, less so on others. It's good if that's what you're asking, but it's not all sunshine and rainbows.

It has some hard themes.

But moving on.

Newest Psycho-Pass episode was great. As expected, the show seems to be moving towards darker themes.

Not that I'm surprised, it's Urobuchi we are talking about after all.

Edit. Some gentleman on /a/ noted that there are many references to Asimov's short story "All the Troubles of the World" in Psycho-Pass.

But moving on yeah, Nichibros keeps getting specials. Does that means that they are poking and looking around if they can get S2?

Why not? I bet some of us have watched enough anime that we could understand at least some of it.

And it's not like fan subs are 100% correct either. Stuff from commie and gg etc. is usually pretty good, but they do make mistakes on a regular basis.

And then we have cases like Hadena. Hadena is on a completely different level of troll subbing.

Here's a decent site that reviews fan subs, if you care about that stuff. It's run by some commie members, so be a bit sceptical while reading it.

hmm just blasted all robotics notes episodes in one go. I shouldn't have judged on the first 3 minutes :(. Damn that drama at Subaru, ROBOTICS CLUB GO HALP HIM!

Subaru also reminds me of Takuto of Star Driver.

I'd say Clannad and the sequel to it, Clannad AfterStory

A whole life you have seen built up, how all his connections were made, how he got with his wife and then how he loses it all. ofcourse in the end he gets it all back, BUT THAT FEELING BRO WHEN HE LOST EVERYTHING! Toradora didn't make me even cry, not even sad. Clannad, sniff. /rambling

Yes clannad is good(very very good), but as most people forget Toradora isnt just about the romance theres alot more going on than first meets the eye.

The way Ryuuji and argues with his mother over who should provide for them. The child like ness of his mother due to her running away as a teenager. The way she pushes herself every day to care for him just because doesnt want Ryuuji to end up un-educated like she did. The fact she is over protective to the point where she drives him way even though she is smart enough to realize he is right.

And i havent even started on Taigas familly.

Arguing over the little things is what defines family interaction at its finest.

Clannad is the best for pure emotions, but clannad doesnt portray reality due to its over tragic nature.

I guess were splitting hairs though as its simply how you like your Drama i guess.
