  1. Since IW is almost done, I'm planning on reviving this thread and see if it goes anywhere. I couldn't help but notice the similarities between this gamemode and the upcoming Source mod NeoTokyo.

  3. I sure hope to steer this community in the right direction if it grows beyond its current size (which I sure hope it does). Selecting people to act as admin is a tricky business. We once had this admin called Billy Wu on the ZS server that started to act more and more cocky about it after a few months, eventually claiming he could not be demoted because of all he contributed. Well we sure proved him wrong.
  4. Left4Dead just updated, we can now put custom campaigns in L4D. Hoping to see some good ones soon.

  8. Good news everyone: there are now soft collisions in Infected Wars (thanks to new functions Garry FINALLY gave us in the last GMod update). Now it's much easier to run past teammates while taking cover. You still have standard collisions with the other team though. artic_vendetta is no longer in the cycle because of many exploits and general lag issues.

  11. The only places you can get True Man's Sniper as far as I know, are de_port (when standing on the far-end of the hanger like building, and sniping a zombie at the undead spawn, that's where I got it), and de_artic_vendetta (when sniping a zombie at the other side of the map).
  12. Only using guardian will make client prediction fuck up, plus it ain't TF2 style collision since you're not getting pushed away if you're standing on the same spot as someone else.

  14. Coding for 1.11 is pretty much done now. I'm waiting for The Darker One to fix the G36 world model and to create an Ares Shrike world model out of the viewmodel. Once that's done, I'm putting it all on the server.

  16. Added 4 new maps to the cycle, plus I scrambled the map cycle itself. Should keep stuff a bit varied.
  17. Webstores in the Netherlands are cheaper than Steam nowadays. I don't buy much via Steam any more, only when there are sales, or for indie games.

  20. Cranetop is a great map that rewards the attacking team for taking initiative. I dislike plr_pipeline somewhat too, but that's more because of the simple look. Anyway, both maps stay in the cycle. We ain't turning in no 24/7 goldrush.
  21. He just finished his Infected Wars update and as you saw in the server admins forum there are also some other things to do. And he got his private life of course. Yeah, I'm not planning to work on this in the near future. Just too much other (more interesting) stuff.

They're originally CSS custom weapons, and Garry's Mod isn't compatible with the bone system it uses (the original CSS weapon models are revamped too for GMod, that's why does do work). Because of this, all custom world models end up in the player's belly. The w_models are included in the content/models folder, but they're not used right now. Pretty cool models by the way.   24. 1. it has a max distance, but it's pretty far. 2. turrets will ignore you, but you drop the model once you use your primary attack.
  25. Hellraiser does do damage, just lower than average. The upside is that it drains lots of suit power of the victim, killing off their Armor protection quickly. With the shape shifter knife, if you press right mouse will aiming at a human, you'll freeze for a few secs, and if the human is still in your crosshair after that, you'll switch places with him, taking his body form until you attack. Just take note of the chat messages.
