We already have CombatTag running. Nobody seems to notice.

Problem is, Iris' CPU isn't much of a performer (dual core 2.5ghz). And we don't really have the luxury of hosting anywhere else. I'm just happy the server isn't causing as many performance problems as it did back when we hosted it on Delia. We just have to hope that Notch & co properly optimize Minecraft before its release halfway November.

When the people are the government, there is common sense. Governments are far less capable then people think. They're still just an organization of people that do their jobs.

You can see where the "Chunk" you claimed ends by walking out of it. It will show a message in the lower left corner of your screen if you walk out of yours, into another (not claimed/claimen by others) chunk. Doesn't work. It's not exact enough. Oh is it not exact enough. It gives clear indication where your claimed areas start and end. It's not a bad idea. I wish there'd be an easier way to show chunk boundaries, but a server-side mod can pretty much only communicate with you through the chat channel. A mod that when you do /f show maybe the chunks turn a bit red or blue that are yours? Like a transparent flat chunk on top of them. Like I said, it's a server-side mod. You can't do shit like that.

America has a large war economy which means that there is an unhealthy amount of people benefiting from it. The coming decades will be interesting, as the USA will have to either fight more in more conflicts to justify its defense budget, or shift its priorities to other industries. But that means they'll first need a capable political system, the fact that people still vote for Republicans shows that it's not.

If you think North Korea is actually capable to fight a war, with a starving population and cold-war technology, you're ill informed. South Korea alone could take on NK and win, since they have a modern and developed military. Countries that don't like each other threaten and sabotage all the time. Nobody is willing to dive into another war. Even cyber-warfare isn't an option for a very simple reason, the user wouldn't be able to defend himself against a counter-attack. So no country is willing to set a premise.

The point of Faction Wars is that you try to build a solid fortress (although please no ugly water cube :<). Raids and loss of territory are part of that. It's probably frustrating if you're on the losing end, but carry that new-found wisdom on how to secure your fort with you to the next faction.

Could someone just try if gameME correctly subtracts points when you delete your mini-sentry? This argument is a bit unnecessary.
