So far it's performing well, but I don't have any prior experience to compare it to.

The internet disagrees. SATA 600 might not be an official name but it seems it's used plenty on hardware sites for the 6Gbps SATA interface.

So you can see the real fps! With fraps recording you won't be able to get a good view on the real FPS. I hate it when people post videos on youtube saying ''Battlefield 3 gameplay on a GTX848ti FRAPS'' and then it turns out it's recorded with fraps so why the f*ck post such a thing on youtube. That makes even less sense! Do you know at how many frames your camera records? Do you know that Youtube compression itself already limits the frames?

What a coincidence, this just arrived for me: I'm in luck: the 0009 firmware is already installed on my SSD. Also the case is amazing.

The Fractal thing is just a solid block, which apparently a lot of people like but I don't. Anyway already ordered the Phantom and Crucial m4, since the Crucial m4's sale at the local shop was expiring today

Nah, my Core i5 750 still performs wonders so I can easily skip another CPU generation. EDIT: Seems I can fetch the Phantom and the Crucial m4 from a nearby store for 278 euros total. Think I'll place an order soon if nobody makes any better case suggestions

I seriously hope you can select a squad you want to join in the full version. The current automated selection system is stupid.

It's that time of the year again! I thought I'd postpone my upgrade till 2012 (after the Radeon HD79xx series launches) but since Windows is already getting slower with booting and shit I figured I'd just do my planned case and SSD upgrade right now. Right now my boot HDD is a Samsung Spinpoint F3 and my case is a Cooler Master Centurion 5: Served me well these past three years. My planned SSD upgrade is a Crucial m4: http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/282241/crucial-m4-ct128m4ssd2-128gb.html And a new case. Thing is, I'm not quite sure what case I want yet. I'm replacing my Centurion 5 is because I want a bit more space (My HD5850 is almost too long for it, for example), but I don't want a high-tower. The new case should have a bit of a game-rig aura radiating from it without being too elaborate. It shouldn't be very expensive either. I currently have my eyes on this baby, the NZXT Phantom: More suggestions?

This won't count since we'll start a new world.

They still have quite a lot of technical issues to iron out, but I don't remember Bad Company 2 being a model of perfection in the beta. And even though the Battlelog and Origin system is reasonably solid, I think it's still making players jump too many hoops to get in a game. EDIT: Btw, if you're using Chrome, install this extension: http://www.coderah.com/?page_id=389 Lets you join passworded servers just as easy as any other. EDIT2: The github repo he made for the plugin also contains a Greasemonkey script for Firefox users.

After my first day of BF3 I can safely conclude that this game will be awesome.

Wont be to hard then are you going to tweak floating world maps fall damage/jump pads so we dont get crippled 24/7? That has long been fixed. You'd need to take 3 jumps in rapid succession if you'd want to cripple your legs now. this or just give them a acuracy penalty Sprinting already has an additional accuracy penalty. But it doesn't make people miss their target if they're right in your face.
