Why. Give me some examples that makes this game Codfield. Rush. Infantry combat in BF2 wasn't great. That was improved in the BC2 series and now it's awesome in BF3. And Rush isn't CoD at all, have you ever seen a CoD game that requires that much teamwork?

Being used to a type of controls doesn't necessarily make it superior. We'll have to see how it holds up over time.

How so? I think it looks awesome. I'm a fan of the big vehicle maps. More options for ambush and flanking, or just downright steamrolling a tank in.

Well I read squad leaders will get abilities like calling in mortar strikes and such.

They are dividing the commander abilities among the squad leader role. Since playing Commander in BF2 meant camping on a corner of the map, instead of being right in the action.

Managed to spawn into a jet twice today They're not that helpful, you barely do damage against ground troops. Even infantry seems to survive a direct strafe run.

Spawning to jets seems to be a better alternative than having a whole classroom of people camping the jet spawn.

The Dutch i3D servers lag horribly (probably lack of hardware investment). The French ones run pretty smoothly though.

Want to give a heads-up to everyone. If there are not enough submitted entries by Sunday (at least 8) the contest will be forfeit. I'm not planning to give away prizes unless the contest was taken serious.

It's already been confirmed from various places apparently. The beta never runs the latest code (most animation bugs are probably fixed in release too), because it's mostly meant for gameplay balancing, not for tackling tech bugs.

I'm mildly optimistic. They couldn't always set Max Payne in the same dark city environment, that'd be just rehashing the previous games. 'Noir' storytelling isn't bound to being at night or in very dark locations.

Claim limit is now 24 per player. Placing lava and TNT is now prohibited for non-whitelisted players. If you want to get whitelisted, ask me.

Finally moved to Chrome. Got sick of Firefox freezing up on me. And since I now found a Firebug extension I don't think I have any reason to go back later.
