Well Notch didn't quite give the impression the performance issues are fixed. Multiplayer still is in experimental phase (the whole game is 'alpha' for a reason).

Also apparently new items have been added. A compass (yesssss, although it points to your spawn instead of north apparently) and a quiver.

Been playing with my brother lately. We usually just mine (The dungeons spawn laggyass monsters now!), so our settlements aren't prodably the prettiest ones around.

I thought clavus did the minecraft server. Anyways I wanna play multiplayer again making awesome stuff with you guys. That way I don't have to talk to the animals anymore in singleplayer.

Can we have server back again? They got (if i did read updates right) client-sided invertory and SPM working furnaces and so on.

The code isn't optimized yet. So still laggy and takes 10% CPU power (even when there're no players on).

quick fix for the "gray screen" problem:

When you get the gray screen after dl'ing the update, hit windows+L buttons. This will lock the computer.

Type your password and hit enter. You might have unchecked the password box, so try twice if it doesn't work the first time.

The screen should turn back to normal, and the update has been downloaded and you're logged in.
