I have played surf dozens of hours....
If you set your rates to 33 you send and recieve less packages so yeah you basically slow down , how ever this does mean you get less packages from the server because it runs at a higher tickrate. That's why servers often enforce 66 tick, you can even set your rates to 5 if you want and your ping will drop to odd numbers like 2 or something like that, wich is even considered a hack.
Half life 2 games have quite some different net code settings and many users use wrong tick settings if im running my rates at 66 and the other one runs it at 33 that means he's only recieving half of my packages so you will have hits that don't register..
especially in css and day of defeat i'd see their faces red with blood (even after an awp headshot) and they still shoot at me, so his or her client did'nt register it.
That's why i prefer 66 or even 100 tick servers but if surfing runs smooth for you at 33tick i would adjust my settings to that!

Honestly in half life 2 games i hate playing on low rates, shots often don't register and like VMR said it's less responsive...

How long ago did the server get updated? cause css had an engine upgrade sometime ago.. maybe thats why it's different.

10 = to much the map takes like 4 minutes so 10 times = 40 minutes.

I don't mind playing a map three times but after that it get's annoying!!
They have played it 3 times wich i think is nice of us but after that it's time to move on most regulars hate it so you would rather choose strangers over regulars? The playerbase that keeps returning and wich makes the server a fun place!!
Because seriously if i have played that map 10 times in a row and some idiot wins a race and buys it it's not fun to play it 10 times again!!
I pledged for a limit before really hope it still happends....
We used to have a ranom map changer wich skipped a map if it had been played in the past 50 map changes i'd like this system again!!

No...... but if a video on youtube gets flagged for being innapropriate it gets taken down,
this is happening here now and it's still not being taken down.
The dislike/like buttons should be used as a ruler as for what the community demands in terms of maps. Sure it's not completely accurate(wich has been discussed before) but 32 dislikes vs 6 likes sends a pretty clear message i'd say...
The voting script might be fine the system just isn't,if the community complains admins should take appropriate actions accordingly. This is not happening so i call it a flawed system...
Not saying all maps with such negative ratings should be deleted just because they fall in a certain statistic category. I'm just saying that there are exceptions wich should be looked into for the server's sake.

If this like/dislike system is so flawed why is it still on?? lol....

I record gameplay with high fps.
If you have 2 hard drives in your pc please select the recording folder on the other hardrive then where the game is installed it won't cost you that much fps.
