Great news! I just finished my school year, and I have tons of free time. I've decided to put the server back up. I plan to leave this server up permanently as a personal world for me to build in - also possibly expanding this to the public. Everything has been untouched - you should log in where you last logged off with all your items. I did play the world in singleplayer, so my place has a lot of additions to it.

Note: Factions will be added for land claiming soon. You can still use /lb tool to look up block/chest changes (though previous logs have been lost). Will be adding McMMo later, resetting all levels (lost the previous data :/). 

A better option would to let people make their own faction with only one person...  I have seen multiple people log on and leave because they can't make their faction and have no one to invite them.

And even with that, you're still posting in this thread....

The brew area is a wonderfull idea and I think this is good Only the brewing area in the south west should be more difficult : more lava ?
I think we maybe should unban the enchanting table but only ban the bookcases. In this case everybody can enchant but if you want the higher levels / the powerfull enchants. You'll need to go to the Magicans Monolith (Power besides in numbers or sth ).
I think this will fix the problem that people with no enderpearls/not much members can actually enchant.

Exactly, several of my friends and I did just that. We werent excited about the guerilla wars so we decided to wait till the real reset. With the reset, heavy player activity will return, as the people like us will return. However, promotion for the server is a great idea, but I think changing it is a horrible one.

So basically the Gods faction. I'm not giving WorldEdit to anyone I can't punch in the face personally in case of abuse.

Ive had enough of pvp relogging players. who just log out in a battle then dont log in until someone in their faction is there to pick up their items.
this is a plugin wich i have tried and seen that it is working. its spawns a npc after the player logs out in battle if you kill the npc he will drop the items the player was carrying and when the player rejoins he will be dead and sent back to his spawn point.
There is no way to duplicate items with this plugin (from what i have seen)
I really think you should consider using this plugin on your server.

Please don't restart the map yet. Right now many factions have spent countless hours working on their bases. Many, like us, have just reached a point of satisfaction for our base. We would love to enjoy it a little longer. The first of July would be a great time to restart.

Ruins and holes are the most fun part of faction wars, and do you really think all the spawnkillers and their ilk will just magically disappear when a new map starts?

I was wondering if there was a way to change the plugin so that the player dies when they log out, not when they return. With the current system players can just wait for their enemies to leave before logging in, saving their items. A good example of this playstyle is yorkyork, whom I'm waiting for to log in as I type this. Let me know what you all think, thanks.

Give it 3 days, you'll have a look for other servers, find a few that look decent. But you'll eventually realise, there's no other server with the set up we have, and none of them are as enjoyable. And you'll be back
It sucks for everyone that the factions were wiped; not just the guys asking for resets. But since that, a lot of people have rebuilt and a lot of new people have arrived. To ask for their experiences to be ruined because you can't suck it up and move on is just plain naughty.
