Ok, I'm hearing some terrible rumours that Battlefield 3 will not have an ingame server browser, but instead you need to launch through battlelog. Basically quitting and restarting the game every freaking time. That's some high-quality bullshit right. Who the hell came up with that. Apparently it was already in place during the alpha but to use that for the final game..?

EDIT: seems people say it isn't that bad.. but still.

EDIT2: you know what just got confirmed? Free dedicated servers for Modern Warfare 3. That's the same good system as COD4 had. Is MW3 on the road of becoming a better PC game than BF3?

Alpha had a server browser in the Battlelog system, but if there is no browser in-game, I'll be seriously dissapointed.

If Clavus is right, I agree with you too. Oh well, I was gona buy MW3 for Xbox anyways, and there's always AC:Revelations.

At least in Alpha, Battlelog contained "Play Campaign, - Co-op, and -Multiplayer" options. This also showed while they showed the co-op in Gamescom. So at least you can launch Campaign throuh Battlelog, lets hope its possible to start it without it too.

Yeah, but even though it apparently works just fine, I don't think you should make a server browser dependent on a client's web browser. They could better just include web browser binaries with the game and have the pages show up while the game is loaded (like GMod does).

Funny how it can go from amazing to shit just by hearing it uses a webbrowser to START the game... webbrowser or not, it's the gameplay it's about. you'll get used to battlelog.

I don't see why it's such a huge problem to use a browser to start the game.

And usually I play singleplayers when my internet is down(which is relatively often), so how can I play BF3 singleplayer if I have to start it via browser?

Well even Steam has that time of the month sometimes so we should at least see how smooth they can run their service. But it'd suck if you'd need to launch singleplayer through a webbrowser though.

That fact sheet is already outdated though, because BF3 WILL require Origin to run. That was confirmed.
