Long version:
Personally I like glitches, they make trying to get into someones base more of a challenge, which makes it more interesting & exciting. It's starts to get boring when everyone has figured out how to make their base tnt proof... And if you can't get in a base, you can't claim and there pretty much no battle left whatsoever.
I understand some people have problems with these glitches not being morally acceptable, but:
Imagine The following 2 scenario's:
scenario A:
Imagine if the admins were to give out penalties to everyone who uses a glitch, this would become too much of a hassle. You have to define which are glitches & which are not, some might be considered a glitch by some, while the same one can be considered not a glitch by someone else. They'd have to keep track of players + it is very hard to get evidence. And what when a player accidently get stuck in a wall after enderpearling? He could walk or fall through the wall. Should he be penaltied? Can you prove it was an accident or not? No.. Annoying.. It would be too much of a waste of time for the admins. They got more important things to spend their time with (ACTUAL cheaters: people with cheat mods; performance issues; updates/patches/plugins; setting up safezones, building stuff; promoting; etc.)
scenario B:
- Than there is the other situation where everyone is allowed to use the same amount of 'tricks' as the next person: which is use any action which can give you a benefit (with the use of a vanilla minecraft), duping NOT included. This is a good setup. Everyone is pretty much equal, there should be no one with a disadvantage.
The only disadvantage you can have is the lack of knowledge (of glitches): for instance not knowing what a boat glitch is, how to use it and how to protect your base against it. So this is pretty much like the lack of knowledge of non-glitches : they also give you a disadvantage in the game.
(simple example: hitting someone while sprinting makes them knockback; so for instance you don't really need a knockback sword to knock someone of a mountain. If you don't know stuff like this you have a disadvantage => same goes with glitches)
I like scenario B a lot more to be honest. It might not sound 100% moral, but at least it makes it fair for everyone. To give another example: in scenario A there can be a case where you KNOW for sure someone glitched in your base, but you can never get evidence ('cause it's so hard), which cause a lot of frustration, demotivation, hate, annoyances, etc...
You could blame the lack of bukkit plugins & the developpers, you rage towards the the L4G admins, you could annoy , whine, rage, hate, bother jeb... But in the end you'll be sitting behind your pc waiting ... and nothing will happen. Except all those negative feelings will only grow bigger.
But in scenario A you have certainty that everyone is equal & has the same abilities as long as they are willing to learn them.
Soo, if we all accept this rule ("glitching is not against the rules -except duping-, go annoy jeb or a bukkit team member if you don't like it"), it will make all our gameplay experiences better.
So go ahead and glitch into the bases of whoever attacked you & kick their asses! See glitches as something new you can learn (like all those things you can learn on youtube like farm designs etc.), see it as a challenge.
Here's what I do: I test these things in single player. If you understand how a glitch works, you'll eventually learn how to make ANTI-glitch bases
Sidenote: I do want to point out, that no one here should not take offence in what I say. I'm not attacking anyone personally. I'm only giving my opinion. I say this because I sensed a flame war starting to emerge with some of the people who have posted here & I don't want to be in the middle of it. Just giving my opinion.

So the first, and most useful way you can get greencoins is by donating. The money from these donations go on to improving the server, and making your minecraft experience better. So not only do you get to buy the perks, you invest in new hardware and help cover the running costs.
But I appreciate that not all of you have a payment method to use, so I've decided to introduce a few ways to get them without needing to pay.
Starting from today, any player that does any of the following will receive green coins in game.
Bump the minecraft.net forum topic. - 25gc (can be repeated, but not by putting irrelevant posts or consecutively posting. Limit of 1 post per 48 hours) When you bump the topic, send me a personal message with your minecraft forum name and I'll send you your gcs.
Submit a ban request with solid evidence, leading to the banning of a hacker. -150gc (Video evidence, with obvious hacking. It has to be in the linked topic, and has to be in the correct format to receive the reward)
Duplication reporting - 500gc (The first person to report an unpatched dupe to me via personal message or in game via /tell)
I'm going to trial this with my remaining coins, if it takes off I'll try to increase the rewards a bit with backing from Clavus. If not, you all can't complain there's no way to get gcs in minecraft

Well I'm not totally sure what to do. Can you log into other servers okay? Do you have any modifications to your .jar file (optifine etc). Can you ping play.minecraft.nl?

Way too time consuming. The admins don't really have that much time to look at everybody's raid.

We're on R4, and it has already been patched. What you are seeing is existing duped tnt being used up because it's near to the end of the map and they have no other use for it.
Some noobs just want to watch the world burn.

Can we start rewarding people that submit hack reports that end in bans? And a large reward for the first to report a duplication method that works on our server?

Just something I had an idea for. Made by Salty.

Stuff like insanity doesn't really work as they present it.. atleast not over a long period of time...
What i useally do:
Arm day
Biceps
preacher curls:
Video for demonstation

3 Sets, aim for 6-10 reps (8 = ideal) a set if you can do more add more weight...
21's
2 Sets, 21 reps follow video instructions..

Triceps:
3 Sets
This one is a little hard to do when there is alot of weight on so i useally keep it a bit lower and aim for about 12 Reps per set.

Chest/backday
Chest:
Put your feet on your bed and push up on your knuckles
3 Sets as many push ups as you can per set..
If you're at a gym with a buddy try bech pressing..
Back:

3 Sets 8 reps.
And if you have something like a bar hanging some where try some push ups!
Day 3 should be cardio and abs!
Run or bike for an hour and do sit up's 3 sets as many as you can per set..
This is what i useally do it works for me for now... trick is to keep changing your routine in time before your muscles grow custome to the work out..
Additional:
First few times You shouldn't work out 3 days a week if your muscles still hurt wait untill they are recovered or train a different muscle group.
Add weight when you can try to push your limits, for me its every 2 weeks i can add more weight.. (in the beginning it might go fast but after a while that progression will go slower)
Don't train back/chest on the same day as arms.
When training your arms everybody wants big biceps, don't forget the tricep makes up 60% of your arm!
What works for the one might not work for you if you train for a while you'll find out what excercises gets you the best results!
Sign up to a gym or gt some equipment for home..

Hello all,
I have been playing Minecraft for quite some time now, for about a week longer than the day I first was introduced to this server by Corby. I'd say I've been playing for around 18 months, give or take.
I am on summer vacation, and you can usually find a strong correlation between how much of a neckbeard I become and how much free time I have. And my friends, I have 16 weeks of pure unadulterated freedom. Needless to say I will be playing Minecraft more than is healthily recommended.
I have a lot of ideas I'd like to implement as admin, but I don't want to bore you. So here is a brief summary:

Host regular events.
Increase awareness of greencoins through 'Awesomeo's Adventures' and helping people set up their account.
Provide in game assistance to newer players, hopefully meaning they're more likely to return.
Act as a mediator, discovering what problems people have with the server and seeing if it can be improved (duping issues, command spammers, and racially insulting themes/language)
Cleaning up common areas (around teleporters) of 1x1 towers and over-griefed land. Hopefully to increase the longevity of the maps and welcome new builds.

Though I'm not a common IRC monkey, I am always available through private message (I get push notifications to my phone) . And I expect that as soon as I am reunited with my gaming rig at home I will be able to be on more often.
I'm a relaxed kind of guy, my teachers often told me if I were any more laid back I'd fall off my chair. Whilst this has a lot of health and safety implications, after seeing the barrages Corby endures I think it's a pretty damn essential quality for the Minecraft server.
I realise that a lot of the anti-cheating side of administration is covered and new admins may not be necessary in that department - but I feel the server could benefit exponentially with just a small input from an experienced hand, that belongs to a guy that loves Minecraft and wants to help develop the community.

I'll thoroughly explain the issue I personally have with a teleport command of any form. Please note, this is only my opinion and I am unaware of who supports my vision.
Point 1. A command like that allows one-way teleportation from any random location directly to safety. Namely the safe-zone of the spawn-area.
Point 2. A teleporter which is located in a safe-zone is a two-way operation. If you build close to it to use its functionality, you can be affected by it too.
Now imagine the following, likely to happen, hypothetical situation: There is a faction and you are mobilizing a team to raid it.
Situation 1 (using the /spawn command): Your team has to walk all the way to their base, giving them plenty of time to spot your movement on the Dynmap (unless you have cloak, they'd spot you visually) before you reach their base. After a short skirmish they panic mode and type /spawn. Now they are safe inside a safe-zone where they can't be harmed. Kind of sucks for the raiding party don't ya think?
Situation 2 (using teleporters): Your team can either walk to your base OR USE the teleporter which WOULD have been their escape route. This way you dont even need to use the dynmap cloak in order to pull off an ambush. In order to escape now, they either have to abandon their base (but your raiding party is inbetween their base and the safe-zone, so that is easy-prey for you) or fight they can fight you, which is exactly what you want!
Now think the request for the /spawn-command through again and let me know any valid arguments.
Being too lazy to walk to spawn is not a valid argument.

The relevancy lies in him meaning he knows the concept of both green coins and MTA. As do I, though I've never played MTA.
Perhaps people will take to your ideas more if you were a little less obtuse?

To everyone that said macs were shit. My macbook air runs ultra with the texture pack at 25-40 fps.
My gaming desktop has a hissy fit if I try and change the ram above 1024 because 32bit architectures with java suuuuuck.
