To be fair, I generally find it pretty hilarious and it's easy to get out with /kill. It's not a 'nice' thing to do but, this is faction wars and there's not a whole lot of niceness to it. I once had a guy we locked in a purpose built dungeon. He slept in the bed and that became his new spawn point when he killed himself. Whilst it was funny at the time he then had a way into our base at all times. 
 
Hopefully the people that are trapped will learn from their mistakes.  Tonyhok isn't a noob by my watch, he's been playing for quite some time.

DODGE OR DIE

how to play:
-you must be in survival mode
-only one person at a time

Just the simple game of bomberman.
there are redstone torches under the whole arena, so TNT automaticly blows up.
Try to kill your enemys by blowing them up with TNT, or killing them with your golden sword.
There are 4 teams of max. 2 players.
each team starts in his own tower, in the towers are all the supplies you need.
There are hidden chest with food and weapeons.
Theres a big platform above the arena.
this a refill system for the gravel, and can be turned on with the lever in the control house.
Rules:
- Max 2 people per team.
- Do not bring stuff with you from the outside.
- Do not use hacks/mods like fly and Xray.
- Do not go inside someone else his/her base.
- Do not get out of the arena.
- No allys between 2/3 teams.

Wait for the ''bliep'' before swimming to the other side.
You are able to turn the lights on and off, and there are lights in the pool that light up when Your're finished/started.

(cuz the colosseum isn't olympic)

2 players get in the carts, and start at exactly thesame time.
Kill your opponent by klicking the buttons you see.
It looks alot like rainbow fighting (see the game under this one), but theres more redstone stuff, and it's much harder to play.
Once you or your opponent is death, the judge pulls the levers, and the carts automaticly get back in starting position.
Rules:
- Play with nothing in your hand.
- Don't get out of the cart on the track.
- Don't hit your opponent with your hand/item.
- Don't take stuff with you from the outside.
- max 2 players and 1 judge.

Ok, done waiting for Minecraft 1.3. Starting later today, until Minecraft 1.3 is released until July 6th, 23:59 (GMT+1), the Minecraft server will run the Mr. Green Minecraft Olympics Build Contest!
The map will be reset once the contest starts. Factions will be altered to accommodate building teams (no power loss, 10 power per player, no building outside faction area, max 100 power per faction, Creative Mode for everyone).

GOAL
The goal? Build an arena / playground / field where players can go 1 on 1, 1 vs a team, or team vs team in a specific game (doesn't have to be symmetrical). For example, a Spleef Arena, or PvP battle ground (Sky arenas? Underground lava temple?), or ender pearl throwing match, or a redstone puzzle room. You can make up whatever game you want, as long as you clearly define the play rules and you can demonstrate it. You can make multiple arenas / playgrounds for the same game, but it'll be judged as a single entry.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
You can only participate as part of a faction. Just create or join a faction, claim some land (you need at least 3 players in a faction to claim land!), and you're good to go.
Once you've finished a structure you can submit it in this topic.

JUDGING
Judging is done by me. I will base my choices on 1) effort that went into the structure, 2) how much fun the game is.
PRIZES
1st place: 10.000 Green-Coins (total, not per member) and permanent reserved slots for all faction members.
2nd place: 5000 Green-Coins
3rd place: 2500 Green-Coins
All winning entries will be immortalized in our WorlEdit template folder and might be used for future events.
RULES
Ruining the server using your newfound Creative Mode powers will get you banned real quick.
